Daniel
Day 47My sleep schedule is starting to normalize now. It's important to stay excited and aggressive about my goals.Sometimes when my cousin is driving around he asks me to hold his cellphone so I can catch Pokemons. I probably only managed to catch one. Felt indifferent about it. And even if I wanted to play I couldn't.This leads to something I actually did by accident. I have stayed with an obsolete smartphone since I started the detox (Vainglory is a mobile MOBA).While browsing the internet I decided to go to a resource page about Vainglory. I noticed the quality of the writters have declined and got bored about it. Luckily it didn't cause any relapse but I blocked the site now.For some reason I wanted to keep up with the news about E-Sports for Vainglory. I do wonder what will I think about E-Sports once I'm at day 90.I guess E-Sports is for me what soccer is for normal people, haha. I do see myself arranging tournaments and shoutcasting but perhaps I'm just lying to myself.

E-Sports was something interesting to you when you were gaming, and although it may still be interesting you to beyond gaming, that isn't certain. For example for me, I'm a lot less interested in E-Sports now than I was when I was a gamer. Just good to be patient with all of these things. Daniel
Day 48Answered the 4th detox survey. It's interesting to notice that I have't relapsed (at least not with gaming). I have been able to avoid any kind of videogaming. Yes I had my ups and downs. I have tried to check twitch streams but K-9 didn't allow me to. I have avoided online chess as well. Sometimes I would watch chess games but I have limited that as well. When I felt like playing chess I just went downtown and played over the board, which was a lot less than I expected only twice during these 48 days. I tried to resist the urge of keeping up with E-Sports and haven't watched any stream about it.A good morning routine woul beWake up between 5-7amMake your bed60 push ups, squats and sit-upsCold showerShaveBrush teeth.Put some clothes onGrab a cup of coffee or teaKick some ass 42 more days to go.Cam, if you read this, let me know how to delete attachments from my account, each time I post my last attachment gets automatically posted. Reno F
What brought me back to gaming 2 years ago was this curiosity about the MOBA genre. I got addicted to one, and I could only stop playing it by moving to another MOBA on mobile platform. Fortunately, I got tired after 4 months and quit it (the fact that was pay2win also helped), but the addiction was still there and it took me about one year to face it directly.Should have stayed outdated. Daniel
Day 49I'm actually starting to enjoy Stayfocusd. If one thing I will get out of the this 90 days detox, it's gonna be the habit of using the chrome's extension. Sometimes I been having memories of gaming when I was a kid. Piotr
It would be weird if we didn't had memories about gaming, where for most of us gaming was a huge part of our life. The question is, what memories you are creating right now.
Daniel
Day 50While it is know that I'm a former Vainglory and chess player I haven't talk much about the time I spent playing poker online.During the time I was studying IT, I took the hasty decision to start playing poker online and drop out. I thought to myself "Well, I taught myself how to play chess, surely I can do the same with poker". With no plan whatsoever I jumped right into Pokerstars. While I grinded a lot playing poker, unlike chess I didn't took a extensive time to study and analyze poker. This of course was a mistake. Eventually I noticed I wasn't a winning player (I didn't study enough or used poker tools) and thought I could be addicted to gambling.I wasn't but it took me a long time to actually quit playing poker. At the end I probably lost about $500 and a lot of time.Once I stoped playing poker I started playing Vainglory, found my way to GQ and well the rest is history... Reno F
I love poker, but I hate gambling. I used to play with friends betting corn grains instead of poker chips.Gaming now, especially on "free to play" mobile phones, have a strong gambling side with real money, and it amazes me how autorithies haven't touched the issue yet. Daniel
Day 51Told my girlfriend I accomplished 50 days without porn and without videogames. Also while cleaning some bookmarks deleted some old porn links.I've been having trouble focusing on tasks, sometimes I don't apply Stayfocusd correctly and procastinate more than I want to.I'm enjoying sleeping early and rising early. Working out is helping me regain my posture. I need an activity for 8-9pm, I simply end listening to music, discord, forums, youtube or facebook.I have wondered if I will remain here after day 90. My first thought was to keep posting during one week after that. My second thought was to just post once a week like AA. But first things first, focus on today, focus on the detox.I noticed some negative posts about Cam's fundraising. After all money is always a sensitive topic. It reminded me about a Reddit post where people complained that he was selling his Respawn book to people who needs help. Should we complain about people who sell water as well? or what about doctors who won't stop another human being suffering without pay? I actually admire Cam's vision about being transparent with the finances related to GQ and his fundraising. In his fundraising he explains how much is for the FellowShip fee and how much for the flights and the camera. At Epic website one can read estimates of how the FellowShip money is used. I don't think it's needed to justify why one doesn't want to donate. Just look forward to perfect yourself, help others achieve perfection and to perfect the universe with honest common good. Daniel
Day 52Last night I thought about Vainglory ideas I posted in page 1 of my journal. It was mostly about creating content about VaingloryI even wrote down some of those ideas. Didn't quite feel like a craving but as excitement. But then it had me worried because I know I should focus on one thing at the time which is school. But perhaps I'm just lying to myself. Either way I still have 38 more days to go.In the morning I felt more relaxed and my mind more focused, with the Vainglory content as just one more idea from many I about creating or writing. Daniel
Day 53Woke up slightly late, did some errands and spent most of the day with my girlfriend. We watched a movie "A beautiful mind". Really enjoyed the movie.Don't really recall cravings. But I've noticed something. When I was younger I wanted to achieve greatness. Nowdays it seems like I try to convince myself that greatness in video games would had been just as rewarding, however this can my my addiction talking to me. My girlfriend encouraged me to continue writing on my personal blog.

Daniel
Day 55I been having some slight cravings specially after going to the gym and having dinner. Mostly around 8pm. Like I would like to relax either playing or watching streams.Nothing dangerous so far, but I have google MOBAS blogs and been watching chess games at youtube lately. Gotta avoid it. I need to keep the awareness up and the security up!.

I need to keep the awareness up and the security up!. Watching shit is definitely to be avoided, but I personally also think that it's, in a way, better to just go and check it out when the thoughts become really intense. You do waste maybe 20-30 minutes watching it, but at least after, in an ideal case, you're not longer bleeding energy and focus by thinking about it. I think this can sometimes be ok as long as you're firmly aware that this is to be avoided as much as possible.I watched maybe 2 minutes of some WoW arena thing a few days ago. I barely think about it these days though.Really interested in what Cam and others think about that. Edited September 6, 2016 by Marquess
Cam Adair
Watching streams is a slow spiral imo. In this case I would say the desire is to have something relaxing, which is good, and the thing you're used to the most when it comes to relaxing (ie: your go-to) has been gaming/streams, so that's always the first idea. Brainstorm a few other ideas for relaxing activities.

After I stopped it and found another relaxing activity I enjoyed(listening to Podcasts) my urges where greatly diminished.
