  1. Would love to hear how it goes! Can't agree more - recognizing some of the harmful sides (for 3-4% of gamers who are addicted) helps to also recognize the positive sides. BOTH can and SHOULD be part of the conversation.
  2. Nice to read your update Bugg ?
  3. Here's a video on gamer friends that will help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoQJ1RfPQko
  4. Anyone? Comment or PM me Looking for help recreating the interactive tool this page uses but for our Hobby Ideas list. Looks like they are using jQuery Selectable Widget and Chosen
  5. Welcome Audley! No worries on the email, I understand. ?
  6. Spent a good portion of my weekend trying to catch up on sleep. Hope you got some too. ?
  7. Hi there! Thanks for being open and sharing about your challenges. MANY people who struggle with gaming also struggle with unemployment: https://www.1843magazine.com/features/escape-to-another-world My advice would be to set a goal of securing work first and then worry about finding a better job. As you can see, you're just finding ways around obtaining work, which you know you badly need to do to move forward. Have you considered seeing a therapist or counselor to talk about your social anxieties? I bet it would help a lot.
  8. Good job starting your journal - it will definitely help. ? Try to plan your weekends before they come around, set a specific day like tuesday or wednesday to have plans for the weekend - that way you aren't just bored and then justify gaming because of it. ?
  9. Focus on the positives. If you were gaming it's likely that you would not have got most (or all) of those things done. One day at a time. Reflect and see where you can improve and always celebrate the small wins - they are crucial in maintaining momentum.
  10. A journal will help a lot - good job starting yours.
  11. Hi William, welcome to the forums. Although it's easy to look back at your situation with regret, know you are now taking action to turn it around and turn it around you will. Be patient, it will take time, but you will get there through hard work and perseverance. We have your back.
  12. Small chunks at a time bro. That list looks like a mountain when you lay it out like that. So it's good to lay it out, now what's the ONE you can do right now (today) that gets that list smaller. Crush it and move on to the next thing. Major presence in the moment is key. You've got this.
  13. Great update! So happy to hear you're on the right track.
  14. Haha exactly bro. Patience. The key is that you're taking positive action towards who you want to be NOW. It will take time, but don't sweat it, you're still making progress and that's all that matters straight up. This is a good video on instant vs. delayed gratification.
  15. Ah ok I hear you. Maybe this video will help you with that:
  16. Thanks for sharing your journal here. Curious what makes you want to quit gaming in the first place?
  17. Welcome Matjaž! Glad you are here with us. There is so much hope for you and by following the advice we share, maintaining a journal for 90 days, and taking action, you will see so many benefits to your life. You will turn this around brother, we believe in you.
