  1. Nice work! I just see real life as 1 big game now and I try to improve myself as much as I can. I used to farm gold in World of Warcraft and I use the same knowlegde in real life now and made some good money already Let's get that Global Elite in real life <3
  2. You are doing such an amazing job! I know for sure that you'll reach those 90days. Trying out new things is certainly a good thing to do. If you find something you really enjoy to do try to make a project out of it. Like for example I like to write and share my passion with other people around the world so I'm committed to writing my own book and releasing it by the end of this year. Another thing that could benefit you is getting into meditating. This will help you seperating your thoughts from your vision. If you almost feel like relapsing in the future try and meditate for 10 minutes and I guarantee you that you'll feel alot better after it. Good places to start are Headspace and TheHonestGuys from Youtube. I'm really looking forward to your upcoming posts! Keep it up Much love from the Netherlands - Robin <3
  3. Great job! You're definitely on the path to success. Remember discipline comes first by making the right decisions. Once you consciously choose the the better decisions each time you make a decision you'll eventually make it a habit and it will become effortless. Let's improve ourselves for the better each day - Robin <3
  4. I have relapsed multiple times when first quitting gaming. Every time we relapse we get an opportunity to do better next time. Don't be too harsh on yourself. Simply learn from it and move on. You are doing a great job! Maybe next time instead of reaching out to friends in the gaming cycle you could reach out to this community or to youtube videos where people tell why they quit gaming like the one from Cam or SUCCESS INSIDER for example. Much love from the Netherlands - Robin <3

  7. You are doing great! You are 100% right about that we need to look at the big picture instead of the current moment. Make your decisions based on what you want to become in the future and you'll definitely get there. Keep it up! <3

  15. Hello, This topic is about a missing key that I found today that makes me feel like I've discovered the key to success in all area's of life. This key is actually so incredibly simple that most of the time you don't even notice that you've gotten it already. Different area's in life I'm talking about: - Health - Happiness - Friendships and Relationship's - Personal Development - Finances - Career - Impact on the World Let me tell you my story: I'm Robin van Velzen. I'm currently 16 years old and have struggled with gaming addiction for a long period now. It began when I went to a new school and my parents had a lot of fights at home. Gaming let me escape reality and made me feel like I was in a different world without any problems. Gamequitters helped me overcome this addiction and I'm now working on improving all different area's in my life. The thing that I'm grateful the most for is that I never quitted Dancing, even tho I was addicted to gaming. My dancing school is not only the place where I go for doing sports, but also my second home where I have all my friends and mentors. While dancing I also wanted to become stronger and look good. Although I was addicted to gaming I seemed to never really gave up on exercising. Now that I've stopped gaming I want to improve all area's of my life. The thing is that I thought that I never knew how I yo become successful. For the last month's I've read several books on and researched tons of stuff on the internet on this topic. I read things like: - Consistency is the key - Never give up - It takes time - Make mistakes, create new plans But I never really understood why they were telling me this? Now let me show you what I discovered today: I'm already massively successful in one area of my life (health). I just never saw it because I was always striving on becoming better and better. I even won 75 euro's at an body contest of my dance school where I had to compete against 40 other guys. Let me show you some pictures of the transformation of my body (some are really embarrassing ''-,-) (You can find these at the bottom) When I discovered that I already had the knowledge to become successful I began writing down what I did to acquire such a body. What did I do in order to achieve my goal? - Believe in the process - Be consistent - Make mistakes, create new plans - Focus on the fundamentals (Sleep, Food) - Never ever give up. - Start small, grow big. - Have time as your best friend. How did I start? - By researching exercises, different methods of working out and all other things about the topic. - Then I tried out all the things that I had learned. I kept the things that worked out for me and made new plans for the things that didn't. - And again never give up. The point of telling you guys all of this: If you look at what I did to achieve a body that I'm proud of, it's almost the same as all the books are telling us on how to become successful. You don't need new answers on how to become successful but try to find area's in your life that you're already proud of and start using the same principles in different area's of your life. That's the key that I've discovered today. I will keep on improving my life and I hope you will too! Ending Thank you guys so much for reading this little 'guide' or whatever you want to call it. I hope that I've motivated you a bit and that you've learned that your already on the path of success. This is my first time writing such an article/guide and would love to get some tips or criticism on how to improve my writing skills. Quotes 'You already know how to do everything it would take to make you an outrageous success. All you have to do is keep doing the things that have gotten you this far' - The Slight Edge 'You're already successful, but use this success to become successful in all different area's of your life.' - Robin van Velzen Pictures
  16. I will definitely focus more on the Journal next week. I've already made a journal about every single day this week and it really helps me. Thanks guys!
  17. Hey guys, World of Warcraft Legion launch is in a few days and I pre-ordered it last year already. My life is great right now and I'm on a good streak with: - Meditating - Stretching, Excercising - Reading - No Fap - School - Eating decently healthy I'm only scared that friends and advertisements will push me over to check it out and that I will think that I can play it in moderation. World of Warcraft is not just a game that I played for fun but also for the amazing story it has. I don't want myself to break my streaks and progress for the future. Do you guys have any tips for me how to avoid relapsing these coming days? Thank you :)!
  18. Hey Alex! I've just finished my detox and I see that you keep a journal everyday for your daily to do things. I feel like this will help me alot aswell. Would you mind if I'll keep track of them the same way? Thanks for sharing your storie and vision on things! Much love Robin
  19. Day 90 of my detox! Hey guys even tho I relapsed once or twice in the 90 days I feel like I've completed it. I don't feel any cravings from gaming anymore and I play no games any longer. It even feels weird to think that I was addicted to gaming. Now that I improved my life already quite a bit I know that it's not enough. Here is my list of things that I want to improve from now on. - No fap and no porn. - Making tracking my calories and macro's into a habit. - Consistently going to the gym atleast 3 times a week. - Sleeping for atleast 7 hours per night. - Making reading 10 pages a day into a habit. - Making tracking reps, sets and weight from my workouts to see progress into a habit. - Improving my social skils - Improving my meditation and making it into a habit. - Stretching my muscles each day to improve my flexibility. I wil also post a journal of what I did each day again. I think that it will help me to do these things and to not only write them down. Thank you for letting me share all my stories! Much love Robin
  20. Day 84 of my detox Hey guys, I haven't posted in 2 months or so and wanted to tell you guys about my journey so far. My life is great. Sometimes I think back and I can't even see myself gaming that much. It's like if I never was addicted. I have relapsed a few times for a few days but I've learned from any one of them. I went to the movies for example and watched the Warcraft movie. This really got me thinking about playing it again for a week and eventually I did. The thing was that I didn't even feel bad or good about it, it was just that I didn't even enjoy playing games anymore. I decided to delete my account and that's it. Now a days I don't even feel like playing and think of it as a waste of time. I go to the gym, read inspiring books (recently read 'The Slight Edge') which was an amazing book. I also have a great group of friends that I go out with and dance with. I went on an amazing vacation in Germany and have new goals for my future. I want to become a Navy Seal in the Netherlands and want to go out and explore the world. I love my life and it all started with quitting gaming. Quitting gaming is the best thing I did in my life. - Robin ♡ PS. Here some pictures of my physique now. I've accomplished this without gym. I recently decided to go to the gym to start building more muscle anyway. Everything in life is possible it starts with the little things we do on a daily basis that make us succesful
  21. The second option: '90 Days Game Free' sounds the best to me. Although I don't even think of gaming anymore it still sounds like: 'I'm happy that that part of my life is finally over'.
  22. Hehe yes it's actually really nice ^^ We do workouts and jogging aswell which helps ofcourse ;P I find some problems with school now tho. I have to do tons of stuff and that makes me kinda stressed and I waste a lot of time on doing the wrong things. I will work on my planning skils and try to do a lot more in class so I don't have to do it all at home ;P Thanks for commenting! Stay focussed ♡
  23. Day 20 of my detox. My life is still too amazing. I had training today and after that I went to the city with a friend and ate at a restaurant. Later that night we chilled for a bit with some other friends aswell and a great time. It's just so easy right now. I never think of games anymore. It's not even that I hate them but I just dont seem the point in gaming anymore when I know that I can use that time to invest in myself you know. Tomorrow I have a dancing competition and all the crews from us are coming. That will be around 100+ people from us and we are 1 big family together. Everyone knows each other and it will be a lot of fun I want to thank everybody for helping me out and giving my life back. I love my life so much right now and I'm 100% sure everybody can do it. Stay focussed ♡ - Robin PS. Went from 14.7% bodyfat to 12.7% just by eating healthier and drinking a lot of water ^^
