  • WELL. Game Quitters has been offline, but as you can see, it's tuesday, 11/14. I started my detox 8/14. It's been over 90 days, 91 days exactly, and my detox is over, but I'm going to continue to post

  • @HitaruI'm doing great! I have so much more time and freedom to do what I want, to be productive and accomplish things. Ironically, I don't have much time because I'm using all of it being busy! But I

Physical activities are essential! It's surprising how sedentary you can be by playing video games.

Today is day 11. I've been so tired from all my work its actually good because now instead of playing video games, I sleep! It makes me feel better and healthier and I'm already happy I quit!

Thanks,

Eli

Eli

It's day 13, almost two weeks and here I was just saying that I can't believe it's already been one week. So glad this is working out and I hope my brain chemistry and dependency on the games really changes

Thanks,

Eli

Trust us, it'll be worth it

Have you noticed any differences in your brain chemistry so far, eshi?

How much serotonin are you registering lately? xD Jokes aside, you will probably feel it in retrospect. It's much like pain - people usually suddenly realize that something stopped hurting some time ago.

@Mettermrck Well it's only been two weeks, I can't say I've seen real brain chemistry change, but I also don't know how to tell if its changing! I'll definitely tell you when I notice a significant change. What are the signs that its changing? Anyways, two weeks exactly, about half a month, it's actually quite some time if you think about it.

Thanks,

Eli

Day 15 here. I've gotta admit I've had a few cravings when I'm on the computer and bored. It's good though because I have all this game quitters stuff bookmarked, it really is a good reminder of my detox and to not relapse. I noticed the cravings come when I see the youtube icon actually, haha, even when my icon is Cam's youtube channel.

Thanks,

Eli

Hi it's day 16! I think games are still in my head, but I'm starting to lose interest in them, which is pretty awesome! They don't seem as necessary to me anymore, and I'm super thankful this is working.

Thanks for staying with me every day mettermrck and bigpete247. I really feel the good kind of pressure to continue my detox. Day 17, thats pretty awesome :)

Eli

You're doing great, eshi. I may not be able to post on your journal every day in the next couple weeks but I'm pulling for you!

It's day 18. It's getting easier and easier I think. I can already feel the benefits of not having video games and even not having them in your mind lets you be so much more productive and have time to do things I actually enjoy :)

Thanks,
Eli

Day 20. I got a phone today, a Vodafone smart first 7. I got it because it's not too powerful  so it shouldn't be able to run games. I'm going to try to use it so that I can maintain contact with people through whatsapp and other messaging services. I'll let you know how it goes, and hopefully it won't be too much of a temptation or i'll have to get rid of it.

It's day 21! I've had a few temptations with the cell phone, but I think I can handle it really well

Day 22. My best days are when I have lots to do, lots of work to do. That way I'm too busy to think about the games and they seem really unimportant next too all my work. Just some thoughts

Thanks,

Eli

That's true for sure! Keep in mind that you can make the day as busy as you want. You fill in the day by doing some push-ups, reading something or going out for a run.

Keep going!
