Hey! Hope you can continue to be compassionate to yourself and the ppl you're going on dates with. 

This made me thing of one of the most inspiring relationships I've seen- between my parents and their best friends. We'd gather together, and they'd be talking complete nonsense- the most boring, laid-back small talk I've ever heard.

When I asked why they were not talking about something more personal, like politics or how they're really doing, they said "it doesn't matter what we talk about, it's how we feel when we talk- we just want the vibes". I try to carry that attitude w/ me ever since- no matter what the subject of the conversation is, just bring a warm attitude.

DAY#20!

Nice! Its day 20 without games. I feel that this week will be the hardest one because at the day 28 was relapce. I woke up late went to do olipiead and clean then to gym and than i was to tired to finish😪 my day

 

What I am thankfull for:

- My dad came to visit me

GOALS:

 U ll se later because i am Using AI to help me define all goals AS SMART:

  • Achievable: Tuesday 5 hours or smt like this to study

  • Time-bound: Wednesday 3 hour first and second try together
  • Finish Homework (2 more)

    • Specific: Complete two specific homework assignments.
    • Measurable: Each assignment completed marks progress.
    • Achievable: Assess the scope of each assignment to ensure completion is possible within your available time.
    • Relevant: These assignments should help solidify your understanding of the course material.
    • Time-bound: Monday

 

  • Gym 4 Times a Week

    • Specific: Attend the gym four specific days this week.
    • Measurable: Each gym visit counts towards your goal.
    • Achievable: Check your schedule to ensure you can realistically fit these sessions in.
    • Relevant: This supports your physical health and fitness goals.
    • Time-bound: Monday | Wednesday | Friday | Saturday
  • Start Freelancing Profiles

    • Specific: Create and complete profiles on specific freelancing platforms.
    • Measurable: Profiles are considered complete when all necessary information is filled out and a portfolio is uploaded.
    • Achievable: Ensure you have the portfolio and other materials ready. Which i dont have but will prepeare //
    • Relevant: This aligns with your goal to start freelancing.
    • Time-bound: Set a deadline by the end of the week to have these profiles set up
  • Apply Book Cracking Code Interview

    • Specific: Begin using "Cracking the Coding Interview" as a study tool.
    • Measurable: 3 chapters
    • Achievable: Assess the difficulty and your familiarity with the topics to set a realistic target.
    • Relevant: This preparation is crucial for tech job interviews.
    • Time-bound: Week target three chapters maxima  - 5 
  • Continue Learning Django

    • Specific: Progress through a specific Django course or project.
    • Measurable: Make an app for portfolio
    • Achievable: Ensure the goal fits your current skill level and available time.
    • Relevant: This aligns with your goal to improve or utilize Django for web development.
    • Time-bound: Thursday is the day also Saturday
  • Begin Working on CNN (Convolutional Neural Network)

    • Specific: Start a project on CNN. Make a pattern and test on data
    • Measurable: Architecture is ready it can work with data
    • Achievable: Documentation and CHatGPT-4 will help i guess
    • Relevant: My uni project + i anm interested in deep learning
    • Time-bound: 2 hours daily

Visit doctor about high level of bilirubin in my blood ( 40! what the hell) retake analisys

Day#21

Getting more and more tired lately. Woke up early, went through uni, had absolutely no energy for everything so went to sleep. After sleep went to gym, and then went to sleep again. I took me 2 hours to finally be asleep.

Day was bad in terms of productivity and in terms of having energy. The worst part is that as I am writing this on day 22 I am also out of energy and even slept through uni.

Goals for day 22:

- CNN

- Test

Hey! I wonder, how familiar are you w/ sleep hygiene? Imo, that mid-day nap is what may be causing your fatigue.

@Pochatok u were right! I got 6 gour of good quality sleep and today is great day.

Okay, but for the day that was yesterday:

Day#22

Okay, I slept through my pairs, Almost missed the very important lecture ( was 1 minute early) and didn't feel all that good. BUT! After two hours of doing straight nothing I did great job and refocused on my goals. I went to meditate for a few minutes then got up and went to market and ended up working on cNN dataset finally). Also did some prep for test. I ate food and opened windows, fresh air and calories was very helpful. Managed to go to bed early, by looking phone with forest app.

 

What I am thankful for:

- Advice and support from Pochatok

- Got invited to be a tester in a favorite book

- Finally did something with AI

- Book about coding)

- Work on homework on advance

Did all planed, except book. Maybe I should watch less erotic stuff or do a minor detox but I am afraid that o ll do stupid things

Was tired a bit and out of energy, don't know why. Tried to go to sleep early, but realatices kept calling and waking me up. I tried to call myself, but at the end got really angry. Went to sleep really late 

Don't know how to restore productivity

Hey! It's alright, your frustrations and fears are more than valid. It seems like you had a major disturbance to your plans, brought by things that are largely beyond your control. Be gentle w/ yourself- you're doing your best.

Ty @Pochatok I restored it. Now I crave for work and money. I need to be me, I need to earn money, develop skills and make a dream come true. I want to have a good rest, instead of having days wharching YouTube on sofa. I also have a question or I don't know who's was the courier and his journal but @Yan I ll start working as a courier too. I need advice, how to be productive and ern more money. Thanks a lot, your Dark

Started with GYM. Made good progress with it and some homework. Also made some cooking and tryied to earn money by using reffarel links and ordering card from banks/

I Did it. In two not full days solved a part of Olimpiad. So now is the time to continue.

Soooooo/ Day#30

A moment of weakness i guess. But my trainer is ogne for sometime without him i feel like my training is useless because i dont know technique and end up screwing everything up,so i need to refocus and work on other things like money to maybe find another trainer who will help me.

As the problems|task rise a pproblem of money is going stronger and stronger. I NEED TO MAKE MONEY but it will take some time to do so. I am fully scared that money that i put  on a black day will end and it will be so so bad.

ALSO i feel like i am losing the life cycle. Everyone around is going throught camps, olimpiads and winning but not me. I need to focus more on this aspect and on money.

Also, for e=anyone reading this. I am not asking for compassion or pity, i am asking and asking only for your advice. Maybe you been there and know how to come back to world.

Here is my plan right now:

- Work as a courier for some time in free time, if too tired work on essential university project/( Making money small | Making essential task )

- After that i ll focus on portfolio and olimpiads while keeping up the work as a  courier 

- Start freelansing and trying to find job while keeping up work on portfolio etc.

TADA, my plan for next three month. What do you think

Day#31. After dark

After the moment of weakness I found out, that my stats overall improved, yes, I went to sleep early, but now, I worked on CNN( actually worked, trying to decode and make it better). Also, I am going to work tomorrow. Things are starting to happen, and I am a part of it all. Also, I found for coding courses that I can attend for free, so my free time will be spent with usefulness. Now I need to clear my news feed, out the shocking and scary news go, and maybe I will try to start detox from porn after a while. As it is now, I need to build new positive habits instead of gaming, and that what I ll focus on. Let's go , good luck to you all,

ironically, my advice is rooted in compassion, but I believe it to be genuine advice. 

Stop comparing yourself to others. It's no use, and there is no greater enemy to your own freedom than social complacency/conformity. I know that you live in a Russian-speaking country, and understand that being in any way non-conforming is not an easy task.

However, if you simply try to chase for becoming someone else, you will sacrifice your own priorities, opportunities, and uniqueness. Instead, make a plan that serves you first- whether that includes winning olympiads or not is up to you. But all these social achievements should not be a goal in itself. 

From my experience, once I was able to set goals that centered on my own needs and interests, I actually increased my achievements- my grades skyrocketed, and my skills in all areas of passion improved tremendously. But first, I had to do all of those things for myself. Not for the sake of achievement. 

Again, I understand that this is difficult for you given where you live. But, I still recommend doing what you can to avoid conformity as much as possible.

I agree with you, a lot @Pochatok.

That is true, that only thing I should compare myself is me from before. And I made a huge progress. I am now a part time working non gamer, who is actively trying to improve programming skills. The catch is, there is a two kinds / ways of development. And I can see it among my mates. Some of them already got the job, and some of them never will. And this summer will show, whatever we will get the job or not. But also I must work to make an project for university. I have no time, but no answer still. I am afraid and stressed by this fact.  I ll focus my attention on it on Saturday and Monday. If I get on one side, I ll be a desired specialist and if I end up on the other - I am nothing.... That's a harsh truth, but it Is what it is now days.. I ll try my best..

The next topic is that I feel extremely lonely right now, with no girlfriend or really no good friends in real life. I understood, that before I will search for any other women I need to forge myself. Who I am?

I worked almost full day, and got around 18$. Not much, I spent it all to by power bank. I need to find a way to make money, and I need several of them

On the brighter side. 

@Yan, your adveces worked, I preplanned tips, stayed near restaurants, and called clients in advance. I managed to get tips also. I am happy about it.

Now, I understood, even tho I work a lot, I steal need gym, to self focus mentally and work on myself. And shape my body.

Super glad my tips worked, though you might consider concentrating on living below your means rather than making more money 🙂 Because otherwise no matter how much you make you will always feel you need more. Just a thought here.

So DAY#33( BRAIN DAY 🧠)

In the morning I woke, slept a little more and then went to gym

Training was amazing , I also practiced some fighting and I was in touch with people, so I didn't feel lonely. That was good! I liked it a lot. That I had a big meal, after witch I rested while reading my free book and then I went to work on a CNN and managed to do a decent job. Also partisapated in some Olimpiad, and now I am going to sleep. Need to make more that 2$ a hour tomorrow. I hope I ll be lucky. Let's go)

I think it's a lot about setting priorities. Buy only the things that are needed to help you improve upon challenges and not avoid them for example (More on this in the subtle art of not giving a fuck or everything is fucked by mark mansion i don't remember which)
Another thing is buying assets, not liabilities (More n this in rich dad poor dad by Robert Kiyosaki)
Yet a third is as i said just having a priority, main goal in life, which will allow you to let go of other "wishes"
(More on this in think and grow rich by napoleon hill - the "Desire formula" on page 87 and the book in general, + beginning with the end in mind of stephen covey's' book the seven habits of highly effective people. Get on with it 🙂

Wow, itr really good advice, and I ll copy it to buy and also to read. I read poor dad and etc, I agree about that part. On others I ll follow your instructions and read first. ( Btw I ll try to find this books for free first).

As for my goals.  I was thinking how its is, to live bellow my means and etc. Right now from the day of work I make around 10$-20$ as a courier. It's small, but it's not zero. I need this job , I need this money. And more about it:

- I am currently spending way to much on food. Even to spend 2.5$ a meal is bad, I can spend way less if I eat home and etc. Also, I can work only on weekends, so it's also a point to limit my income as a courier. But anyway, I still make money, just need to find way how to make more of it. 

And as the famous word said: " Sharpen your axe first".  I need to find job more high paying because I am IT student. I think I should work on sites and etc, while gathering all available resources to save as much money as I can.

Yesterday I worked an 11+hour shift to make some 20$ but I guess it's not optimal to spend my time like that. More over, while delivering orders I found a place where I was, when I was more successful. I went there with my ex, we rested there and etc, and now I can go in only to take order. Funny, I hope it switches again. 

All of my classmates are focusing on getting the job, even the girls. I can't miss out on it, I need to at LEAST try!

Also I need to find freelance orders. Even one , it can be done in six hours sitting in warm home zone, not outside where it's rainy and cold. I love rain and etc, BUT there is a catch.  When I work I can't leave or smt like this. That's also a point. More on this, I should focus on my goals, not face a destruction in girls, even if they are beautiful, and not in YouTube or porn, because it brings me nowhere.

I need to focus on my goals, and main of them:

- Finish my coursework ASAP

- Make a portfolio and get to job searches

- Make more money.

This is the way I need to think about it.

Now its like in big tech you join contest and if ypu win you get job offer BUT you steal need to qualify or be ready for this contest
