  1. These are all good steps to take. Some days will be easier than others, either way focus on continuing to take positive action and over time you'll feel better and better.
  2. Yes I read all of the introduction posts. Unfortunately my schedule is very busy now and I try to pop in and say hi at least when people join. It's very difficult for me to interact in journals and so forth as I did for years before. To be honest, at this point it's up to the community itself to engage and be active with each other. Would love to encourage you to take a leadership role in getting the community more active on here. Or to share ways I can support you in being empowered to do that. Not trying to throw shade but you have 6 posts on the forum.
  3. Hi Rodrigo, welcome to the forums. I hope to visit Uruguay someday.
  4. Hey welcome to the forums. You'll find a lot of like-minded people here.
  5. What were you biggest lessons from your relapse?
  6. Hey everyone. The UK Parliament has launched a new committee looking into video game addiction and they are looking for someone in the UK aged 18-25 who would be willing to testify and share their experience. Often these inquiries only showcase academic researchers and not the people struggling themselves (like us!) so it's a really great opportunity to share our actual experience with the issue. If this is you, please PM me and I can connect you. Here are the details:
  7. Hi Matt! Glad you decided to stop lurking and join the community.

    Relapse

Relapse can teach you a lot about yourself. I don't play in moderation because I can't. It's relieving to just accept that.
  9. What's your resistance to a community? You mentioned you were lonely in your journal and then here you post that you don't want to be a part of a community. I relate to it because for a long time I was lonely yet I pushed everyone around me away. It was when I started to really look deep down as to why that was (I was bullied a lot so afraid of not being accepted) that I was able to shift it and start building relationships again.

    Relapse

Thanks for sharing. 150 days is still incredible and if you did it once you can do it again. One day at a time. Learn from the relapse and use it to grow.
  11. What is your social situation? Are you staying home all day? Could you go to a cafe with a book or something? Going to a gym can also be helpful.
  12. Good job starting your journal. ?
