Today I am grateful for having a great family.

Today I am grateful for having my frist christmas without gaming.


One amazing thing that happened/I did today

 

1) the relatives left early and so I had more time than expected in the evening and faster that than I could think what to do now, my cravings/nostalgia to game was in my head again but I weathered this storm and so I hope the next days are more calm and I can focus on the relevant things in life again

did my meditation and my usual spanish session, watched after my small cousin, read quite a bit, had a blackout for half of the day but that just showed me how dependent we are of electricity and how nice it can be to have no access to electronic devices, had a great time at the cinema in the evening (yeah I know I contradicts my earlier statement but I think there is a major difference in watching a film with family/friends in a cinema or alone at home in front of a screen)

What I could have done to make my day better:

study more, have still problems studying at home so maybe a change of strategy is in order

What I will do differently tomorrow/What I have planned for tomorrow:

 

wake up at 8 o'clock, try to study again, do some workout at home

1) was able to reduce my mobile screen to under 2h and I think I start again with challeging myself how low I can reduce it

Today I am grateful for getting any sleep.

Today I am grateful for staying strong even in dire situations.


One amazing thing that happened/I did today

 

1) slept not even 2h, no idea why, but something like this happens rarely to me but it happens, nevertheless I was able to power through the drag of a day and was at least a bit productive and more important I did not succumb to my cravings which in hindsight is great even when the day was not

more than 9k steps (my foot still hurts but I am working on it to get it healed faster)

1) I realised finally that a lot of my day to day and overall problems are stemming from my low self-esteem and that will be my topic for improvement for this year (in addition to minimalism and an increase in my studying time) so if anybody has tips for good podcasts, books or audiobooks or even tips in general I would be very thankful

should have studied one to two hours more, should not have wasted my time till lunch (I woke up really exhausted even though I had ample sleep), should stop doubting myself so much when studying

What I will do differently tomorrow/What I have planned for tomorrow:

 

wake up before 8, study 7 hours, maybe do some cycling if the foot is alright, to some chores at home I guess, self reflect earlier in the morning

getting selfconfident enough to stop doubting myself at every corner will be a monumental task but if somebody told me a few years ago that I would completely and finally stop gaming in 2019 and be consequent in doing it I would not have believed it either so I see the way I have already accomplished but the one in front of me will be equally long ?

1) I calculated the days I would be able to live till 80 (it is 18500 and some or 50+years) which is way less than I imagined and so I am going to be more mindful of what I am going to do in my freetime and and I what I want to accomplish in my life

did more than my usual meditation but less than my normal spanish session, had time to study, realised some things and problems about myself again^^, did some streching and a bit cycling, went a bit hiking outside,

What I could have done to make my day better:

should have been more productive in the morning (second day in a row where my mornings are just a drag 😞 ), should have stopped doubting myself when studying but I finally realised that this is an reacurring theme since last year or the year before that even when I have good to even great marks afterwards I am always doubtiing myself but like I said yesterday this year I will change this and grow my selfesteem and self awarence step by step

wake up at 6, try to study 7 hours, go working, go to university, do some small groceries shopping, maybe do a small upper body workout at home

1)realised that I have to change my waking up routine to get to life my morning to the fullest earlier

2)I also have acknowledge that staying away from digital media (or reducing the amount) especially youtube and webnovels/sport sites/newssites I discover how much time I am uselessly wasting there and how nice it feels to invest this time in something productive or really relaxing

did more than my usual meditation but far less than my normal spanish session, found time to study my planned amount, worked 6h+, went to university and did my shopping for the week, did a 10min workout at home in the evening

What I could have done to make my day better:

should have done some more spanish in the evening instead of an useless chat on whatsapp with two of my friends 😞  (at least I quit early to study some more as I became clear there is no substance in it)

What I will do differently tomorrow/What I have planned for tomorrow:

 

wake up at 8, try to study 7 hours again,  go to university, maybe do a small upper body workout at home again

I have to leave my comfort zone far more often because only this way will it grow and what was way outside of it before may after some time be inside suddenly. 😉

Today I am grateful for getting a bit more self-awareness.

Today I am grateful for having a really productive day.


One amazing thing that happened/I did today

 

1)like always I guess I am overreacting on the day before the exam but it became clear to me today that I have to plan and accomplish my studying differently (for the next exam) as did this time also I have make sure I am 100% behind my self and throw away my doubting self (this year it is on!)

did more than my usual meditation but far less than my normal spanish session, found time to study even though it looked grim till early afternoon ( my waterheater broke down suddenly at lunch time 😞 ), did a tiny workout at home (tomorrow is finally gym time again^^)

What I could have done to make my day better:

should have done more streching and not got carried away by the exam tomorrow only because it is an oral one, 

What I will do differently tomorrow/What I have planned for tomorrow:

 

wake up at 8, try a bit before the exam,  go to university, go to the gym, do some house cleaning and meet a friend

Today I am grateful for going to the gym again.

Today I am grateful for getting a bit more self-awareness.

Today I am grateful for having a successful exam. 😉


One amazing thing that happened/I did today

 

1)got an A on my first oral exam since 2 years and it was in thermodynamics😖 which is huge for me because this type of exam that was always one of the things I was most frightend about since I am not very good with people I get to know for the first time but it seems restructuring my life brought a lot of changes 🙂

2) got my nervousness really good under control before the exam which got me thinking that meditating more and reducing a lot of digital distractions already days before the exam was the right choice and something I want to follow even after getting it done

more than 18k steps (boy my foot hurts again)

50 min cycling

3h workout at the gym (man, I really enjoyed that^^)

wake around 6, go working, have a productive day, I am not sure if I will be studying tomorrow but at the very least I hopefully will enjoy my day

1)had an 4 hour meeting at work and this time I tried to stay focused on the topic and not zone out which worked great  as a result I got so much more out of it than I imagined

did my new usual meditation and a bit of my normal spanish session, forced myself to a workout with a brutal hangover (even though I was home early 😞 ), played abit with rooting my amazon tablet and read/informed myself quite a bit about the rasberry pi to decide if I should buy one, on the one handit would be really nice to play and experiment with it but on the other hand I am not sure if I have the time (especially if I want/have to do it in my freetime) and I am no sure for what I should use one

What I could have done to make my day better:

should have done some Tai-Chi in the morning and all in all I should have done more and had an overall more productive day even if I did not have any pleasure to study/learn

Today I am grateful for having a productive day. 

Today I am grateful for being healthy.

Today I am grateful for the funny suprises the life some times bring.^^


One amazing thing that happened/I did today

 

1) went to my health check for this year and I am healthier than ever and I think my increased fitness program and that I cook far more meals is responsble for it so YEAH^^

2) since I started to mediate 20 or minper day I do quite a lot of things more mindful (eating, showering, brushing my teeth,.... just for example) and I discover how funny some coincidences really are and man I enjoy them wholehearthly like today where I meet my dad at the same health doctor at the same time for the same health check when everybody does this one once a year and we did not even communicate beforehand in any way especially when the secretary of the doctor was completely confused and tried to send both of us away not realising that the espicially long appointment was two in fact two persons🤣🤣
