No money problems. But I am struggling to fill the time in. Everything is just unappealing right now.Just have to work through it I guess.
Cam Adair Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I like this talk on depression. Maybe it will help.
Davo36 Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 Cam that's a really good talk. Hard to believe he was 19 when he did that.Very wise words from a young man. Thanks for recommending it Cam.
FedererMagic Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Hi DavoIt's normal that you can feel depressed after giving something up that you did for a long time.If it should stick around, considering therapy could be an option
Davo36 Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 Thanks guys.I'm feeling a lot better now.Went and saw the GP.For years now I've been taking a thing called 5-HTP which is a supplement which helps produce serotonin. I was feeling so good I reduced my dose... and hey presto 4-6 weeks later I felt like crap.Started taking it again and 10-14 days later I feel fine.So it may have been that. Perhaps along with giving up games of course.
Cam Adair Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 @Maddog will have a lot of great thoughts to share on this subject! For years now I've been taking a thing called 5-HTP which is a supplement which helps produce serotonin. I was feeling so good I reduced my dose... and hey presto 4-6 weeks later I felt like crap.Started taking it again and 10-14 days later I feel fine.I love 5-HTP - although sometimes the vivid dreams are a bit too much for me. Are you taking Vitamin D? If not, I take 5000 IU of that each day and it makes a huge difference for my depression/anxiety levels.
