  1. Day 26 (final) Done and done. However, I'll probably revise them tomorrow after I consult with my senior and maybe more experienced employees. The mismatch between job titles and functions is a little tricky from the stand point of benefits. Rise and shine in 4 hours and we'll see how it goes, plenty of stuff to do tomorrow. The day was a total success as far as gaming goes , nothing as usual.

I meant, that Bob is right. Just concentrate on the matter at hand - the Detox, and don't worry about the next step afterwards. Trust your future self to make the choice then.
  3. Day 26 (2/3, TBU) The day isn't done until the midnight oil is gone. I'm actually enjoying the work on my HR-brand, my account with vacancies will be up and running before I go to bed. I'll keep y'all posted.

Listen to the man, he's got a point.)
  5. You're doing all the right things, Daniel. Your feelings are justified. Just put into perspective that people who drink or do drugs together feel the same temporary sense of camaraderie that those guys on streams have. On the other hand, the bonds that you form doing something productive are harder to create, but they are way more transferable into other activities, as productive people to enjoy and be good at multiple activities in life. So, don't envy the "neigbor's grass that seems greener" to an outsider, you're going in the right direction.
  6. Awesome update, bro. Good that you have a creative approach to addictions. I think when you are comfortable and certain that you have broken away from just one, the others will become simple tasks. Hooray for Bob, the Unstoppable!)
  7. As for panic attacks I had those too. Check the link at the bottom to a video that cured my panic attacks instantly. The free video is self-contained and it was all I needed to rid of panic attacks. I got the first one in a fit of rage at my banking job, I didn't know what it was then and attributed it to sleep deprivation, abuse of caffeine and stress. I didn't have those for a while. Two years ago I got another one and they became somewhat recurrent. I still had no ideas what the hell it was. I even was afraid to drive as I fear I could pass out and crash, but I had no other choice, so I drove anyways. After a little research I found out about the nature of those feelings and they were gone for good. Hopefully this information will work for you as well as it did it for me. 8. Day 26 (1/2, TBU) Today is fucking brutal, after my assistant called in sick I had a small line of new prospects waiting at the HQ this morning. I rushed right after getting up and got everything solved, but it took time, I'm currently working on the last client service request for the day and after that I'll get my main task for the day done. I'll set up an HR email account, sign up for three job search sites as na employer and will create and post two vacancies on each. By the way I want to share a link to video that cured my panic attacks instantly. I guess it might be useful for people with the same problem. The free video is self-contained and it was all I needed to rid of panic attacks. 9. Wuh-what? See these two videos and tell what do you think? It's not an endorsement of the people or organizations that have created those videos. I think those videos are good and that they sufficiently cover the whole topic. One person can play persecutor and victim roles at the same time. 10. Thanks! And a good point, it's all about creating value for clients and increasing the bottom line in the end
  11. Day 25 I'm exhausted today. My general direction is right, but the speed is lower than needed. My admin employee called in sick tonight, it might be 2-3 days of even harder multi-tasking, tough luck. The deal on the office lease is done, now I feel that I should have bargained more. The current arrangement is not that bad though, so I should just go ahead and get the ball rolling with the hiring process. I can't hold back, because if I stutter, I will create a bottleneck. All right then, I promise that by the end of tomorrow I will have two vacancies posted on job sites. The ads will have nice detailed descriptions with comprehensible KPIs. I'm still cleaning up the document mess from the last operating cycle. I accept that I will never be the neat guy that handles routine repetitive paper work well. I simply don't have the wiring for that, so I have to hire people that do. I mean I have created templates, procedures, technology but I simply can't maintain all that. There it is, an epiphany! A confession in writing that I don't have nor will ever have an important skill. Now feel better, I understand that I'm cornered I simply have no other option but to hire new employees specifically for the paper work. I'm cautious of being robbed of my know-hows, but it's a managed risk. I will divide functions well enough, so all new admin workers simply can't put all the pieces together on their own. Plus competitive adavantage is rarely about ideas, but about execution. Even Facebook is Myspace done right. So be it. You have my promise, let's see if I can keep my word.
  12. How did your field trip go, Bob?
  13. Hmm, using a kid as an exercise tool?) Never thought about it, but my wife says that her friends with little kids quickly developed hand muscles) Kids are great for developing mental and physical endurance.
  14. I apologize if my post has offended someone. I respect different faiths and believes, and had no intention to disrespect anyone's religious affiliations. Just in case
  15. Day 24 A usual working Sunday. I crave for the soon to be reality, where i can relax on weekends being certain that everything is going great with my business. Today I ran a few errands for clients, worked out well and finished a block of work on the documents. I posted a few pictures from my last vacation in July on Instagram today and got an insight. Now I understand what good I can make of social media besides marketing. Regular posting is a great motivation to keep in shape and to schedule exciting leisure activities. And it's really a chain reaction, now to find time for fitness and cool activities I need to cut out movies and Youtube. To think of it now I have 18 days to quit shisha/waterpipe. And then I'll be almost a fucking monk. Well, let's do it then, I'm determined. Obviously games are no part this new chapter in my life.
  16. Focus on GOALS only. Your current self-doubt and worries are irrelevant. You do what you focus on, you become what you do. You seem to lack competition, you need to find someone to one up. Don't sabotage that person of course, just outdo him or her fair and square. Ideally it is someone you've known for some time and this person's progress over that time should create a burning sensation within you. Everybody can find such a person among acquaintances, former classmates etc. That competitiveness can be another source of leverage for you. I'm sorry for unsolicited advice of questionable usefulness and promise that I will only answer questions if you ask any. Giving unsolicited advice is one of the things I must quit, because it's a sure way to Karpman drama triangle games.
  17. Awesome news! You're doing great.
  18. Pete, I suggest you focus on the matter at hand. For now you don't have to worry about relapsing because you have excess cash. When you have plenty it's best that you have a ready message for yourself in writing, that would detail how exactly did gaming contribute to the living standard you are expecting now.
  19. I agree, that saving is not a ton of fun, but many people (myself included) find having money liberating, hence the term "Fuck You Fund". It's totally up to you, but choosing a career solely based on a want to prove yourself to others may be short-lived. I don't want to discourage you from anything. There is a quote from He Got Game movie I love: Keep trying on shoes, sooner or later you gonna find a pair that fit you. So go ahead, you might like it.

Ed, happy to have you with us. Your thoughts strike all the right chords, I can relate to most of your arguments. Good luck on your journey and look forward to your new posts.
  21. You didn't put pounds on, it's water retention caused by excessive sugar and salt. Just stay the right course and you can expect to forget about about them within 3-4 days entirely. The bad part is that if you eat junk food soon enough those pounds will keep you company for much longer. No doubt you're strong enough to reinforce your healthy habits.
  22. I understand the emotional attachment, it was very hard for me as well. The mental trick I found super useful was considering the following: consoles and videogames only become more affordable with time, so selling yours does not creatre a shortage. You'll always have an option of acquiring it if you have to. It's just that putting yourself in a situation where you have to go through a long process to relapse makes it less likely, but the opportunity to do so will always be there. That way of thinking helps avoid a sense of an irreversible loss, thus easing the pain greatly.

    Day 6!

Bad things come in twos, man. Games and porn affect a male's brain in somewhat similar fashions. Masturbation is fine, just skip the porn. My take on porn is it's more about the Coolidge effect not general horniness. Good job bouncing back and continuing posting.
  24. @Mettermrck @mtninja @HappyCat Thank you, guys! I was starting to come up with a little conspiracy theory. I guess you're right, it's just easier to flesh out one protagonist and more importantly it sells.
  25. Some quality familty time right there. Good job, man!
