  1. Vulnerability is a process. Lean into it one baby step at a time.
  2. Who needs TV when you have TED talks?
  3. I owe the majority of my success to The Slight Edge.
  4. Happy to hear you're feeling better. Take a look at eating more of an alkaline diet (you can get PH strips to pee on to test yourself.) That will be easier on your system.
  5. Great to hear about the surprise party! I've been sober basically this whole year, #soberlife.
  6. I know a few of you are in Australia. Post here!
  7. Congrats!! That's very exciting. Ups and downs are normal. They are neither good nor bad. It's all about that equanimity, baby.
  8. Love Belgium! Can't wait to go back!
  9. With hobbies it's all about trying a bunch of new things and trying them a few times to push past the initial learning curve. My friend Calvin has a project called The 100 Club that could be a fun idea for you to try. I actually just interviewed him for an audio bonus I'm putting together. I haven't released it to anyone else yet, so you're getting an exclusive here. Check it out.
  10. Sign up! I did a half marathon once and it was killer! This year I hope to do my first triathlon. The race aspect of it is a lot of fun and the accountability is nice for training.
  11. Awesome! Love following your missions! Don't get too caught up in the design yet. I'd love to have my products designed that much better but then they wouldn't be out there for the world. Now I'm working on upgrading design but that's an evolution. Better to have a product out (minimal viable product) getting feedback from users (and providing value) than procrastinating on the design side. Look at what the next level would be for you design wise and get that done. Let the rest come later.
  12. Any idea where your stomach pains are coming from? I used to have them really bad (food related) so happy to investigate it with you if you're unsure.
  13. The 2-minute rule: if you can do it in 2 minutes or less... do it now.
  14. Hope you enjoy the Challenge. Happy to see your journal is more/less back to normal form. Don't think we'll be able to fix the first page but this 2nd page is looking better.
  15. Hey guys! I recently interviewed my friend Michael Hrostoski from The School For Men about his views on commitment and spiritually as they relate to your guys' journey moving on from games. He's got a ton of wisdom to share so I hope you guys like it! https://vimeo.com/143317198
  16. Hey Richard! Great to have you join us here. There are a few of you from Australia! What Alex shared is all great advice. Just remember that although it would be great to go back and change things in the past, what you can control is what you do moving forward, so focus one hour and one day at a time. Take the right steps (as Alex outlined) and you'll be well on your way. This is a turning point for you and the beginning of a new journey. That can be scary sometimes but it can also be exciting! We've got your back.
  17. I wonder if Florian is the tallest member of our forum.
  18. Yes, you are right! When you are willing to be a leader to start the conversation and then open up yourself, people are more than happy to join you. You just have to take the first step. Imagine if everyone was waiting around for others to invite them to gatherings, or to start conversations. Nobody would ever hang out or talk with each other! Even though they may all want to.
  19. A big change in my life happened when I changed my paradigm from "having high standards" means being hard on yourself... to what I believe now which is having high standards and being kind to yourself, while still having personal accountability. Also I do believe the most selfless thing you can do is become the best version of yourself. It's a lot easier to help someone else from a position of strength.
  20. I've just started going through his podcast; listened to the Arnold interview the other day. It was awesome. I never knew that much about Arnold... after listening to that, mad respect. Have you seen his documentary Pumping Iron? It's amazing as well.
  21. 100%. Lots of gold in that post. Our environment affects us more than we affect our environment, so putting more intention into the influence your environment has on you is key.
  22. I want to read Arnold's other book: Arnold. Can't find it on Audible. His podcast interview with Tim Ferriss was incredible too.
  23. Excited to follow your journey! It was great to meet you in NYC.
