  1. Congrats on two weeks! That's a big accomplishment to be proud of. I love reading about the positive changes happening for you. Keep going, it will continue to get better and better.
  2. Keep going dude. In five years what you'll see is that the rough periods are normal, and even though it's hard to see the progress within them - it's there. Even if sometimes it's there only as a means to remind us why we are committed to improving various areas of our lives. Rising Strong by Brené Brown would be a good book for you at this time.
  3. What is your novel going to be about?
  4. Well written! I also like the update to your blog design.
  5. Congrats on 12 days! Cravings are a normal part of the process. They will come and go over time. If you haven't seen this video on how to deal with them, it will help. One idea for FB if you only need the messenger is the Newsfeed Eradicator. It can help a lot. Excited to hear what you think of The Power of Habit and for you to attend the NJ meetup. The NJ crew is great.
  6. Can't wait! Have you seen Paul's karaoke video? It's epic! The key is to go and choose to HAVE FUN. Just like with the dancing video, you chose to let go and embrace the fun in life. Same thing here.
  7. Haha awesome. Love it man. Great energy!
  8. 3 to go! That's amazing! Great job man.
  9. It's all about the process of learning. Some days you will be able to adhere to your schedule, others you will not.
  10. Exactly. This is all about developing resilience. Great job being mindful and catching yourself so you have the opportunity to adapt. It would have been easy to just go through the motions, hit the supermarket, grab your ice cream and not even realize why you were doing it.
  11. Awesome feedback. This is definitely what I've hoped for!
  12. Excited for you to read The Power of Habit. It's a great book!
  13. Great to read your Day 4 mission. Your attitude is in the right place and with some of your foundation already set (writing, cold showers) optimizing a little bit more will be that much easier.
  14. Hey Zala. Thanks for sharing. Congrats on 16 days without games, I hope you take a minute to recognize yourself and be proud. It's quite the accomplishment! I really enjoy running because it's like an active meditation and I love the energy boost I get from it. I love roller blading as well. Maybe find a park that is nice and quiet for you to play around in.
  15. Hope you have a better day today!
  16. Haha I've definitely burned soup before. It's deceptive, you think it's going to be ok until you taste it. One trick I learned (after my burning experience) was this: When you burn soup, don't mix it all together (your first reaction tends to be this.) Instead, take out another pot and dump the soup into it. The burned parts will remain on the other pot and won't mess up the other one as much. It should still be edible. Happy to hear your stomach is feeling better.
  17. If you want a natural alternative to Dayquil, check out Oil of Oregano. it doesn't taste good but it works really well (put a few drops in a glass of orange juice if you can't take it directly.) Most health food stores will have it. Hope you feel better.
