Well, it's time for the annual check-in.
Many things happened last year, good and bad.
My gaming CPU became inoperable, and my phone and Xbox One became my main gaming platforms.
Roblox implemented platform-wide age restrictions, disabling games I wanted to play.
To increase gaming opportunities, I started visiting local arcades regularly.
The availability of games has been in a steady decline throughout the previous year, and here's how I noticed it affected me.
I have additional free time on most days, and I've become less frantic.
I could no longer use gaming to relax or energise, requiring intentionality in how I rest.
Responsibilities no longer seemed so daunting without a mandatory gaming session in front of them.
Especially in the last month, I've met several milestones.
Had a six-day trip to Malaysia with friends, which was a personal first on multiple fronts.
Finalised a customised cosplay outfit and had it shipped from the manufacturer.
Played a board game with my sister in place of video games with her.
Despite all the good progress, I received a workplace redundancy within the same timeframe. With all that in mind, I'm entering another stage of life.
