movingon Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I decided to quit all games cold turkey 10 days ago and it seems that the worst cravings have passed. However I didn't anticipate the impact that quitting would have on my social life, like... I had really underestimated how much I depended on games to make and maintain friendships. So that's a big bummer... Maybe one thing I did wrong was not finding a lot more activities that could fill in my days before quitting but I'm finding some pleasure in reading the books that had been sitting on my shelves for who knows how long... I hope they last long enough that I will have reconnected with some people IRL before I'm done going through all of them. 2
TheNewMe2.0 Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Hit up the library too, may the books never end. Huzzah. Hopefully you do connect with people IRL. Some people manage to stay friends with their gamer friends even after quitting too. Welcome 2 forum
