Introduction - New Beginning

Hello! My name is Lauren and I am currently in high school.

I have been playing lots and lots of video games and it is getting out of control. I always think video games can help me ease my bad moods and feelings. Whenever I am sad or angry, I would just lock myself in my room and play video games until I fall asleep. Also, when I stop playing and try to focus on my work, I start thinking about gaming and lose focus. This is causing me to be behind in my work and get low marks. I would also start playing games while doing my work. Sometimes, I just can't control myself. Even though I know I will be in trouble later, I couldn't stop.

Therefore, I am trying to reduce my gaming time right now and I hope to quit before my new semester starts.  I am extremely thankful for Game Quitters because, without them, I wouldn't know what I would be doing right now.

I am happy to see that this forum exists and I hope we can get along!
