Hey everyone, I'm a Los Angeles based video editor and my friend Jimmy from film school directed a short which is going around festivals called Polybius. It's somewhat based on an urban legend about a mythical game cabinet that triggered obsessive habits, and was used for mysterious purposes of mind control. It's kind of funny to imagine that game developers now use psychological tactics to make their games be played for longer periods and have folks keep coming back to them. What used to be supernatural ideas regarding player attention are now commonplace. At one point in the film a character keeps repeating "just one more game!" which are the exact words I've said in my own head when playing Fortnite to the wee hours of the morning.
