Hello I am "New" (i don't wanna share my personal info lol). I am and have been addicted to the popular game Minecraft...for the past 1 1/2 years. Now i want to make it clear that I am not a casual player. I am not the type of guy who just you know hops on to a game casually plays and just logs off after 30 mins. I am the "tryhard" type who just keeps on working his ass off at getting better at the game. This past year I just got promoted to a new class and I have not only been forgetting to submit assignments just because I did not want to and instead wanted to play games but also lying to my parents, best friend and everyone in my family and playing video games. And believe me, no matter how many times i just tried to start over, turn a new leaf whtever u call it...i failed miserably....and it kept getting worse. Say I am like "Dad can I just take the laptop for work". He is like "Yeah sure". 5 minutes into the work and next thing you know my game screen is loading and I am preparing to hop onto a multiplayer match. However, this is like my 7th-8th attempt(says a lot abt me) and I finally have a feeling that this time will be different. I have already spent a fortnight without playing minecraft and intend to keep adding to that number. The way I did it is.....

  • Be firm to myself and remind myself of my past actions of lying to my parents, family and friends and basically tried my best to make myself feel guilty for playing video games one way or the other
  • unsubscribed from all minecraft content channel on youtube and twitch
  • refrained from using gaming equipment at all for any purpose
  • regularly shared my progress with my friends
  • I will also try to maintain this log and try do the '90 day detox'

However, I am willing to also start over and count this day as day 1...Please open this page once in a while to see my progress..Will be updating it everyday
