Hi all, My name is Matt and I have just started here. I've always been too proud to admit to anyone that I have a problem or accept any help with quitting, so posting here is already a difficult step, but I need to change and I finally recognize that that means doing something differently. I'm 28 now and my gaming has been problematic for 12 or 13 years. I am very lucky that I am adaptable and capable so I have been what might be called a high-functioning gamer, and am generally doing well in my life, but I could be doing much better, and I am now at a point where I have really hurt and almost lost the person I care most deeply about because of my refusal to change. Reading about the successes here has already given me hope that I can finally sort it out and I'm looking forward to moving on and trying to make up for all the lost time. I'm glad to be joining you all on this journey of taking back responsibility and control of our lives and am determined to be writing my own success story a few months down the line. Matt
