grey
Hi, I think a lot of the time I try to believe that something won't work in order to protect myself from disappointment - but I think I'm going to try to believe daily journaling might actually work. I'm borrowing language from internet and technology addicts anonymous which is to abstain from my red lines which is defined as online behavior that once I start, I cannot make myself stop. Generally - I'm abstaining from - internet and technology use in my bedroom - web browsing on my phone - 18+ content including erotica - social media on any platform (with the exception of this forum) I intend to use internet and technology minimally. I use internet and technology to connect myself to other irl human beings instead of using it to numb my emotions. I'm naming I'm still figuring out what this means to me. Ideally I'd love to be abstinent for 90 days. Last time I did this I messed up while traveling, I'm going to create more precautions around that. I'm trying to hold no internet and technology use at all in the same room that I sleep in.
grey
Hi, Putting in today's entry because I will be at a family function later (bless). Yesterday I deleted some of my longest standing social media accounts and it was difficult but I feel so relieved. I still have a few more to delete but that is where I am at in the process. Trying to set myself up to not rely on internet while I am traveling by printing everything out .
