  1. Hey Guys, my name is Adrian, I am 21 years old and from Germany. I played videogames as long as I can remember, but it only became a problem a couple of years ago. The game i am addicted to is Dota 2. Actually im not sure if addicted is the right word, because i dont really enjoy the game anymore. I play to escape reality. The feeling of being incapable to achieve my goals creates this urge to escape reality. Sometimes this feeling gets so intense that i cant stand it anymore. I start playing video games. When I play, I play up to 16 hours a day. During these intense gaming periods i eat and sleep only very little. I dont leave my room. And then there are times where I feel like I am making progress towards my goals and I dont game at all. Before my current relapse i didnt touch videosgames or the tv for about 7 months. This cicle keeps repeating itself: periods of motivation during which i dont play at all and periods of depression when I dont do anything else than gaming. I am afraid that i cant escape this circle because it has been going on like this for the last 3 years. I bought respawn yesterday and hope that I can finally overcome this big obstacle in my life. Adrian
