  1. Hey GQ Community! Cam and I are currently seeking a Game Quitters community member who has experience on the subject of going off to University or College. What we are looking for specifically is somebody to be up front and honest about what it was that influenced their decision to attend. If your experience and final decision were based around using post-secondary schooling as an escape to play more video games, we want to hear from you and how this decision may have affected your life. If you can relate to the above statement and have a story to share, we'd love to have you on the podcast for a brief interview segment to tell your story to the world and help others who may be struggling with this life altering decision. There are no audio recording requirements to be on the podcast. If you have recording gear such as microphones that would be considered an asset, but the minimum requirement is that you have access to a Skype account. Feel free to get back to me here if you are interested. Thank you everybody!
  2. Don't know. Never been! I do know of a great place in Calgary though if you ever find yourself in the wild west. It's called the Big Cheese Poutinerie. You've gotta check out that menu though. Buffalo chicken poutine! Philly Cheese Steak Poutine!! Toronto's been on a bucket list of sorts for me though. Really eager to go and catch a Blue Jays game. And yes, I recognize the satirical nature of your question. Asking a Canadian about the best poutine! That question was just dripping with satire.... kind of like a melted cheese curd smothered in delicious, hot gravy.... excuse me for a moment.
  3. Hey Mad Pharmacist. Cool name! Never been to Poland myself. I had a roommate from there a long time ago. I remember he really seemed to like frozen supermarket pizza, haha. Is that a thing in Poland?? In my spare time? I'm usually studying (I've returned to university recently), working on my business, recording music, reading, mostly things like that. Trying to get outside on a more regular basis to exercise now that summertime is rolling in up here. Like I said you can find the Podcast on iTunes, Stitcher and Google Play by searching Game Quitters Podcast, but I do happen to have the SoundCloud link handy. SoundCloud version is right here:
  4. Hey GamerAddict. Was just getting set up on the forum, saw your post title and was compelled to click. I'm married too and if there is one thing I can tell you it's that what you are doing, deciding to quit, is very noble and selfless. Your kids need their father and your wife, her husband. Gaming may have pulled you away from other successes and accomplishments for so many years, but the fact that you are taking action now is all that matters. You have plenty of time to do all of things you claim you've missed out on, age is not a factor. Just remember, your family need you more than ever and they want to see you get through this. You've got a great community of people here who care and are going through exactly what you are right now. Early withdrawal is hands down one of the worst parts of this, but you're much stronger than withdrawal will make you feel. Take advantage of the forums, the community, the great content Cam has posted and never be afraid to reach out to us if you're feeling weak. Best of luck and keep going. Do it for your family.
  5. I mean, inside of your head rather. You see, I'm cohosting the new GQ Podcast with Cam.... Well then, that intro could have came out sounding a little bit better, now couldn't it? I really just wanted to stop by and say hi to everybody in the community. I'm very excited to be a part of this new show and am grateful to Cam for hearing me out on my "elevator pitch" and starting starting this thing up. I think it's only going to continue to grow and get better over time. If you haven't listened yet, check it out on SoundCloud, iTunes, Google Play or Stitcher. The thing I'm most excited about is getting to know all the cool people who make up the GQ community. Feel free to say a hi of your own and tell me a bit about yourself or if you have any questions about the Podcast, the weird Canadian things that I do in my spare time or would like to know anything more about me I'm happy to chat. Cheers to you GQ!
