NEW INTERVIEW: Porn is destroying a generation... one erection at a time! w/ Gabe Deem

James Good

It's time to take control

As promised I'm all caught up on your posts. @James Good it sounds like you're struggling. That's great news!

Many times in my life, people have tried to convince me that struggling was a bad thing. I fully disagree with them. Struggling means there's a vision for something better and going through the pain of getting closer to it. I know it's a bit over-stated, but my mind always comes back to caterpillars transforming into butterflies. First of all, they literally liquefy their own bodies to reform them into a butterfly (sounds like you're working on re-discovering your base self as well), then they change into something greater (which you're doing), then when they're done they have to struggle to escape the chrysalis. Experiments have been done and it's been proven that if the butterfly receives assistance when breaking out of the chrysalis, then they won't be strong enough to use their body properly and they die.

Struggling is an essential part of their survival. I think the same applies to people. Without going through the pains of becoming something better, we end up spoiled rotten or lazy. Keep fighting against both of those lifestyles and you'll find yourself surprisingly happy and competent.

Coming to the meeting and appearing ignorant is an interesting strategy, I wonder how that goes for them!

@Ikar I've loved your posts so far, and I'm now following you as well. ^ I read the article. Those Fortnight people sound like they know exactly what's happening and refuse to do anything about it. It's almost hilarious, but mostly just pisses me off.

I agree with the struggle being good, as long as you voluntarily accept it and internalize your decision. Then you can believe yourself when your approach needs some altering, so you're not digging in the wrong direction for the rest of your life feeling miserable. There's a lot of venues you can take as a human being.

Happy to hear my posts make sense to you!

Is it bad that I have no idea who Tai Lopez is? Would you recommend his content?

He's a motivational speaker, he spoke on TED and I watched a few videos of his. He has some cool ideas to share, but as with anything in the "psychological self-help" department, it's up to the viewer to internalize the principles and mindset.

First, congrats on your decision to move to Thailand @James Good!! Have you been spending time learning the dominant Thai language? Commonly used words are a must! Best of luck integrating and living the Thai life.

What drained me of energy today?

My diet, and my inability to stop watching YouTube videos. I appear to be "addicted" to food videos. Bon Apetit, Sorted, Best Ever Food Review Show, you name it.

Should be a bit different when I move to Thailand, however, slow Internet and constant working will put a stop to YouTube binging (hopefully).

This Chrome browser extension linked here is really helping me to get in, watch my video, and get out! It will remove the entire right-hand suggested videos section. If you do not have Chrome try and find something similar. :324_dizzy:

Staying off of the main Youtube site has helped also. At this link here at the bottom of the page you can click an export subscriptions button to save to an OPML file. This file can be imported to most RSS readers. To me this is most ideal for reducing the amount of time catching up on video content if you would be interested to crunch down the internet surfing to say one day a week. I personally plan to start having my Wifi disconnected throughout the week!

I also hear from this raw vegan Fruitarian Youtuber that I follow there is a LOT of fresh, delicious fruit in Thailand be sure to check those out! :282_palm_tree:

Happy living,
Neil
