No Game, My Life

Hello,

My name is Diego. I'm an 18yo braziliam. At the beginning of the year I realized how much I am addict to gaming and failed trying to stop gaming, I didn't play in Jan., Feb., and March, but when April started I was depressed and start playing again. I don't know how to stop, my computer is where I study, where I spend my time for 7 years. When I try to stop, a feeling like "I need more comes", this is hard for me. I will try to change my life again, without games.

Good luck with your journey Diego! I have the same problem that I use my computer to work as well as to game. If you're really serious about quitting, you need to put barriers on your computer between you and your games. How you do that is up to you. In my case, I deleted all my game clients, had a family change and keep the passwords and installed a program called ColdTurkeyBlocker that blocks some other apps and sites that I don't want to interrupt my day. With all those measures, quitting gaming became a lot easier for me.

Good Evening,

Today was easier than the other times that I tried, in the next month I will complete 3 years of gym. So I already have a healthy life without sugar and fast food, but I want to change more my room always clean and stop wasting my time when I need to study. Today was a good day, yesterday I was uneasy, but I survived and I'm here to write my new history. Games were consuming my life and what we have of most important in life, our time. Today was leg day I will let my workout below.

Today I lost my time and wake up late because I was doing all accumulated tasks before sleep, read a classic Brazilian book "The Tenement" and I went to de gym. I'm feeling relieved the other time that I tried and failed I was looking for my problem like something that I can't win, so this time I've changed my mindset and this is being easy.

Today was harder than the other days was a boring day. So I felt the willingness to play, but I didn't was weak enough to play again. I went to the gym and did legs again because when I'm tired work legs help me. I lost my entire day on my bed looking for a reason to live, but I didn't find and keep with my plan.

Good Night,

Today was hard again, I saw my sister playing and it made me want to play too, but I didn't. Lately, I am looking for an excuse to stay in my bed without study, this is like self-sabotage I need to study, but I didn't do anything. Today (01/06) was a holiday in my city, so my gym was closed and tomorrow will be too. Something which is helping me a lot is Cold Turkey that @ElectroNugget said, I have some "tics" like when I'm watching a video I start opening other pages and do a lot of things in the same time, I think this is because of my anxiety.

Today was a good day, I went to a party to drink a lot, kiss a girl and I'm high when I writing this. sorry if some words don't make sense but were a good day was hard to write this, but I'm happy because I drink a lot alcoholic is kife thx, I didn't play today.

Good luck, Diego! I'm with you on exercising. I just did my first really intense exercise for the first time in a while tonight and I'm so beat I don't think I would play right now even if I hadn't committed to stopping. I didn't know about the cold turkey program, but out of sight out of mind definitely is helping me.

Thx dude, exercising is a good way to change your life, you start worrying about your alimentation and other things that are important to your life to be healthy. Therefore Cold Turkey is a nice program to my problem. Good luck with your journey too!

Today I complete 1 week without gaming, truly this was easy I have to thank you for coming on my diary and reading, my week has been amazing I start on Sunday with a party, yesterday I meet a girl, she is 23yo and me 18yo, on Friday I have a date with her, I went to the gym I did chest and shoulders.

Today I was so anxious that my gym was 7:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. I already put my clothes but I'm happy talking with this girl, she went to sleep now and I'm editing this post, here is 3 a.m., before I back to gaming I had a relationship with a girl who doesn't worry about life, she was so normal, boring, the new seems different. She already invited me to go to her house, I think this is because of her age. Therefore, I did a new workout today was hard but enjoying the process is the key to achieve your goals.

Good Night,

This week has been one of the best, of all my life, I don't miss games more on Friday I had a date, but I have a doubt NO FAP is only when I watch porn and masturbate or if someone did this to me I lose my counter? Therefore I reset my counter, yesterday I went to a bar and after this to her house. But this week wasn't only good things when I see my progress of study and gym this week was low, I didn't complete my goal "2 weeks of study in 1 week" and I only went to the gym 3 days of 6. Probably I will write something in my Diary every 3 days because in this way I have more to say. So have a good week and thanks for reading my Diary.

The magic is, you can (and should) specify it yourself before you get into it, so you can't stigmatize yourself if you did something borderline. It's a tool to get rid of unwanted behavior. Not something you should enforce on your partner. That said, I guess ONS mentality might be unwanted, but it's up to you.

I was supposed to write here on Wednesday but I want to answer @Ikar. So my day was easy again in the night I will workout chest and triceps and in the morning I read some texts about No Fap and discover different types of No Fap(MO, PM, PMO or Hard Mode...), I decided to be part of No Fap MO and reconfigured my counter. Therefore thx for the advice Ikar, I read about it because of you and I understand what you said about "enforce on your partner" I never will do that LMAO this was why I didn't stop her and about "ONS mentality" I think or night was not casual, probably I will try to have a relationship with her, was so good. I agree with you I don't like One-Night Stand I prefer something with emotions. So thx again for your comment.

My week was so easy again, what I'm doing to stay far from gaming? I like to think this is a weakness and I'm just complaining about being an addict and I felt angry with me, so this was my solution. I nothing saying "Addict is just complaining or laziness" I know how this is, but my solution was this. Therefore, I'm disappointed with a friend today she broke my confidence so I buy 12 beers, I'm sad. Wasn't the girl that I'm going out. Yesterday I had an idea I will post every day, but only write something like I did today every 3 days, I will make a template of my schedule and post here and check if I did everything I need.

It has been a while since I wrote here and I kept far from games and porn, though I wasn't studying enough until this week. Besides, the girl that I was meeting she is talking about dating but I will wait for a while. So, my life has been amazing ever since I quit gaming, but what I'm doing to stay far from games? This was easier than you think, in the begin, I was looking for something to do when I wasn't playing, so, I start reading and found new hobbies and this month I will finish my English course, yes I know my English is horrible, but I did my best. What I want to say is, in my case, stop complaining and do what you need to do this forum was the first step to help me, however, after that, you're the only person who can help yourself was 15 years of gaming, I'm 18yo, and this stopped 28 days ago, enjoy your life there is a lot of things to see out off your computer screen. At last, everyone knows the impact of gaming in your life if you want to change what is stopping you?

well what u need is a motivated person like me ! i am new here and this is my 3rd no gaming no fab no coffee(or tee) no Facebook no shits !

just remember your self once u started here and u will be more motivated .

u have to count the times you comeback from the gaming trap ! not times that u fall into it !

u being here is very promising ! it is inspiring ! even people like me i feel much more confident now . i feel much more responsable ! i have to stay here as long as possible and encouraging the others because that's my duty !

i should never relapsing but if that happen  , i will back as fast as possible and do the best Comeback in my life !

i will follow you now and try to motivate you u as possible as i can .
