Day 85 17.06.19

Gratitude journal

Today I am grateful for having hobbies that energize me even after a exhausting workday.

Today I am grateful for my friends.

One amazing thing that happened/I did today

1) had the second day without coffee and is was really difficult because I was at work where nearly everybody consumes a few cups but I stayed strong ?

Workout/run

1,5h playing baskteball

more than 7k steps

Meditation

13min in the morning

Visualisation and daily affirmation

a bit of visualisation for the next exam today as well

Reading (around 1hour of studying for the next exam today)

had time for learning spanish, studied maybe an hour but had little time today ?

my wake-up time

between 6 and 7o'clock (I am trying to meditate before using my mobile phone to have clearer start in the morning)

Weekly Goal(s)

start waking up at 6:30am, study at between 5 and 8hours per day, have at least 2 perfect days in a row, get my weight under 80kg

Monthly Goal

to study at least 4 hours a day (or as average over the weeks),  be more grateful for everything in life, find the joy of living in the moment, think hard about my values and what kind of person I want to be, find ways to avoid falling back to old habits in times of boredom

3 Month Goal

getting my degree or getting it nearly done so that at least at the end of July I have it in my hands, having a really productive life, living my life so that I am proud of it

What went well today: (NF:1/NW:0/NS:0/NC:2)

had time for it for spanish, meditation and played a bit basketball, because I worked for 9hours I had only time to stud a little bit and also  second day without coffee I can already feel some changes

What I could have done to make my day better

maybe study an extra hour and do some tai-chi sadly was relaxing the last 2 hours after basketball something to change for the future

What I will do differently tomorrow/What I have planned for tomorrow:

wake up around 8, go to university , play basketball again, study 6 hours for the next exam, meditate, do some spanish and Tai-chi

Weekly summary, thoughts and improvements for the future

the promised update ? : even this time it is really hard to study  with a high intensity again after the last exam but since I only have a week for the next one and I have to know till friday evening if I have enough time to pass it maybe the pressure helps me this time (on the other hand because I reduced the pile of rewards after the exam in comparison to the last time and set myself some boudaries like no kindle unlimited anymore that is as harmful to me as my long lasting habit of reading webnovels which I have nowadays at least reduced drastically I hope I mangage to cope far better this time)

P.s.: and of course 90 days of writing a diary which in my opion became one of my main pillars of changing my life!!

Monthly Goal

What went well today: (NF:2/NW:0/NS:0/NC:16)

had time for it for spanish, meditation, a bit of reading, finished all my tasks at work and had a fun time challenging my body today^^

What I could have done to make my day better

maybe should have studied a bit and done some Tai-chi I am going to change this tomorrow

What I will do differently tomorrow/What I have planned for tomorrow:

wake up around 7, go to work, have a restday

Weekly summary, thoughts and improvements for the future

1) I realised that the last days after the last exam I had always a bad feeling because I did not start studying again but so far I worked everyday the weekend not counting so I have to remind myself to cut myself some slack and to enjoy reading a book and doing more sport than usual. The next studying stress will come for sure.

2) I also realised that my days worked just fine this last week because I had a lot to do at work and did quite a lot of sport despite the heat but without these two pillars giving my days some structure it would have been easy to fall back to old patterns because for some reason I do not know gaming jumped always in my head when I thought of activities. I am not sure if it is because of the start of summer and the assocication it had with gaming the last few years or because I was and I am still not sure what to study (the results from the last exams will arive on wednesday and then I will know which one to choose) and so my brain knows it has some free time and in the past I always started playing videogames in the next moment. But no matter the cause of this I was able to cope with the cravings easily (deleting all your game accs was the best idea ever I just have to remember this and am instantly demotivated to play) so I am going to plan my summer thoroughly with some crazy goals. Here are the first ones:

  • get a six-pack till the mid of August -> reduce all the sugar I eat drastically
  • have a big exam in September (around 6 weeks of studying to pass it) and at least one smaller one before that
  • to be able to do the handstand without a wall
  • meditate a week everyday a 20 to 30min session in the morning instead of 10 to 15
  • go on a second holiday with some of my friends or alone (if none of them want to tag along)
  • leave my comfort zone at least once a week

Whaaaa dude! You slipped past 90 days without me noticing. Congrats man! Big achievement and I can see you're still going strong. Keep it up, man! Any big goals you're aiming for next?

Thanks and yeah next stop is a year free of gaming and getting my degree. Other than that there quite a few goals for the summer months but we will see how successful I will be in reaching them afterwards.
