I was reading on reddit about how everyone felt about the exam and apparently I'm not the only one who struggled. There's going to be massive petitions to redact a few of the questions. We'll see what happens. Thousands of people are saying how they flat out guessed on over 10 problems. I did the same.

It seems rather strange that they gave you completely random problems. I hope your collective action goes well.

Today I'm 104 weeks or also 2 years on my journey free from gaming. I can't believe it's been this long. I feel like a different person and don't really have the words to describe how much this means to me. I wrote a much more detailed post in my 500 days and 1 year away from gaming, but I am tired after that exam I took lol.

I will say that I enjoy life more now and I feel so much healthier and better about everything in general. My health has improved both physically and mentally. I sleep more, I eat better, I communicate more, I live life more, I do new things and don't feel the pull to play games, I perform better at work, and I practice better hygiene, chores, and self care overall.

Thanks to everyone who has commented over the past year to help. Some of the more helpful people from year 1 to 2 have been @Ikar @TheNewMe2.0 @Icandothis @Phoenixking @DaBest @seriousjay @Alexanderle @ceponatia @Amphibian220 and Vera who doesn't post here but I talk to her online still.

Others have posted and talked to me, but these ones have talked the most. There are different people who helped me in the first year who no longer post here who I mentioned in my 1 year journal. If I left anyone who has ben impactful out I apologize. It's been a mentally draining month for me and I'm still recovering.

Wishing everyone luck and health during these crazy times.

I feel the same after 1,5 years without gaming. My life after I quit didn't suddenly get 5000% better, but my "shitty" days now are better than "average" days when I was gaming. I'm happy my posts and comments are conductive to you 🙂

What a rush! I was trying to sleep and I heard like 5 doors close at like 2:30 in the morning and people running full speed. So I got up and looked out the window and saw two people going through cars in my parking lot and sprinting full blast towards a white car. They took off and drove away. I called the police and helped identify them. The neighboring town pulled them over and they asked if I could come identify them. I gave a positive identification and it allowed them to search the car. They found all of the stolen goods in the car! I helped them catch criminals! I feel very positive about this. I hope I remain safe but I don't think anything will happen in retaliation. I don't think they saw me. We will see. I was just doing what any good citizen would do.

Not even thieves know how to steal quietly and slowly anymore. Who needs a home security system? I want my own personal B&T to guard my house.

I don't understand how nobody else in my apartment complex heard them. Am I that light of a sleeper? They were slamming doors loudly. And their stomping while running was loud enough through the fan in my room. I just don't get how nobody fucking heard anything. The police rang 4 doorbells to notify the people who had their vehicles robbed and only 1 responded. Are people that careless? Fucking morons I tell you. The one lady left her keys and wallet in her car over night unlocked. What the fuck were you thinking?

There're always one or two guys in each tribe who are light sleepers with good ears who can wake fast and alert the rest of the caveman if the sabertooth is attacking. Most people are designed to sleep through anything quieter than a fire alarm because nature is noisy, especially forests and jungles. Be proud of yourself that you fulfilled your evolutionary purpose as a light sleeper.

Hooray for anxiety and stress.

Thanks for mentioning me in your post. I'm very happy to see that you've completed two years of game free living. That's an incredible accomplishment that you don't see very often on these forums. Thanks for for being here and helping people on the forums. You're possibly the most active member I've seen on here. I definitely don't post as much as you're able to. Congratulations. And good job catching those thieves.

I want to say that you have helped me a lot in understanding my psychology and the reasons behind failures. When I saw how committed you were in continuing the search for solutions to a range of problems it made it more convincing that I have to fight the very core thinking patterns and intentions in me to change. Before the self-accountability that started with Game quitters forum in 2019, I tried to maintain old thinking patterns while looking for “on the go” fixes to daily failures.

I think from rereading your posts and other members posts, that you’ve had successes because you kept coming back and programming yourself to change. Human beings are creatures of repetition. They essentially become what they keep repeating in their daily lives and what examples they hold in honor. You also gave very valuable advice on what attracts women to men.

Even today, I still don’t get a lot about how my mind works and what influences it. But I don’t remember any time before in my life that I acknowledged and addressed issues as straight up like this year.

edit: just one more thing I wanted to say for a long time. Cameron Adair and all his respected team members that are putting their effort into this meaningful project including members on this forum such as you. You are working on a greater agenda than just video game addiction. It is in fact lack of control and measured use of media outlets which everyone here is aware of. We can objectively see that things such as pornography are harmful and should be criminal under the laws of the countries where we live. Other types of media like video games, music and films are supplied to people in a way that makes them heedless of their lives. In my fathers youth, television stopped broadcasting at 9pm. Today, there is needless distracting information anywhere you go. So I believe this has to be regulated because so many people are at risk of falling prey to this.

You're an absolute gangster and a inspiration. And not only have you helped yourself, but you tirelessly help others around here as well. I'm glad to have met you, albeit virtually. Keep it up, my dude!

And oh my God you took your exam! I see you don't think it went well, but still congrats! You put a lot of hard work into that.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. Hopefully I pass but I doubt it. I just enjoy helping others improve their lives and I'm glad I can have a positive impact. I'm glad we met also.

Today I'm 105 weeks free from gaming. I feel like I'm in sort of a strange place where I have all of this free time now and no motivation.

I want to do some hobbies and not treat them like a job or project, but I feel like that's on my mind. I want to make cartoons and write but I don't want to do it several hours a day. I just want to do it here and there,  maybe read a book, watch tv, hike, cook, e.t.c

I considered online dating again but I had a family member get COVID19 from meeting a woman who was infected. I'm not feeling that. I'll be safe for now.

This makes sense too. It's easy to be in a lull after completing a major goal. I'm still tired.

I'm hiking with my friend tomorrow and ordering food so I'm looking forward to that. I might order a drum practice pad.

I started watching season 4 of Rick and Morty. It's actually very good so far. I was annoyed by season 3.

I'm gonna order that drum set this week. I'm also gonna start reading my book again. I'm going to avoid dating apps because I still think it's dangerous due to covid.

Another issue I have is I continue to be desperate for love. I find that I still made simp decisions over the past week to do things for a woman who doesn't view me in the same way I view her. I'm tired of it and moving on. I just think people are manipulative.

Ridley in his "Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature" brought up a point that human speech evolved rather to influence others than to communicate "pure" information. It's definitely something to think about.

I think we see in people what we want to see. Making simp decisions around women is manipulative by definition.

Thanks. I took a week off with my personal vacation time and studied 12-16 hours per day. I took the practice exam and dominated. But it seems that everyone is in the same situation as I am and we all got very strange, difficult tests that tested us on stuff we've never seen. It's disappointing.

When it is hard for everyone, it is a good sign. I had this experience taking highly completive exams, and I was sure I did bad; I ended up passing with a good margin with respect to others.

I'm wondering if I'll fall into that scenario, but I know they don't really scale this exam so we will see. I don't want to build up hope and have it crushed. I've accepted I am retaking it.
