Day 8 - 179 hours

Another quick entry. Thanks to writing it during morning I'm force to make a brief entry.

Everything is getting better, although I procrastinated a bit yesterday.

However I'm still ready to move on, I'm not worrying too much.

And yesterday I had a great call with my contryman @Piotr!

Day 9 - 219 hours

So happy to be here. I'm writing during evening, because I didn't manage to do that during morning.

That's probably because I've overslept. Why? Because after coming back home at 11:30 pm after an event  I decided to procrastinate till 1 am on YT. That's something I'm changing by adding Youtube to my special list on Leechblock (I can use it only 90 minutes per week, that's enough to get what I really need and avoid procrastination instead of sleeping).

Getting better with my academic performance too! I passed anatomy even though I didn't spend too much time on it (about 5 hours the day before).

@Cam Adair

Thanks. I really think that's because I didn't run out of luck this day. I passed it with the worst possible notes, but I'm grateful for passing it.

@Piotr

Hell yea, it's a good start (more than 10%) of 90 day detox to have 10 days!

Day 10 - 228 hours

So, today is my day free from any college courses or chores, so I'm gonna study for 8 hours to prepare for incoming exams.

Let's see how this will work!

And by the way, I've completed first seven days of morning pages! (writing 750 words each day). I'm really proud of myself, because I'm aware of the fact that it's helping me a lot in becoming more peaceful during my phobia attacks.

@WorkInProgress

Thanks. It DOES really help me. And boosts my writing skills too!

@Cam Adair

Obviously, 10 days means that I can do more!

Day 11 - 255 hours

Yesterday I did very well with my studying (7,5 hours on 4 different subjects, great job!) and then I watched some YT videos which triggered me to masturbation. So it looks like I need to pay some cash for a special donation!

I know the reason why I did this. Studying for 7,5 hours even with healthy break every 50 minutes absorbed the whole self-discipline and willpower I had. Then I scheduled some ironing, cooking dinner, and reading a book. And I was unable to do that because I'm aware of having limited amount of willpower each day. I can increase it slightly, but it's all about progress.

Ah, and I also started a day before like a rocket! 2 hours of morning routine, including exercising, morning pages, healthy breakfast and writing an entry!

So after 5 P.M. my willpower just wore off. And that's something normal, especially if 11 days ago I was able to spent over 5 hours on video games.

So, just accept that and keep moving! Ironing is waiting.

Ah, and I'm going for scientific conference this weekend, so I'll give next entry probably the day after tomorrow.

Day 13 - 312 hours

I came back from the conference. Amazing experience with amazing people. I feel like I'm thriving.

Also I feel less and less stressed at all and don't get any phobia attacks even thought I decreased a bit my drug doses. They're not a strong sedatives, but herbal ones, so they support me a bit in stressful situations.

Congratulations :) Can you say something more about the conference? did you give your own presentation or were you only a listener? If you gave a presentation, what was it about? Is there a website with the description of the event? Was it an international conference or Polish-only? I once wanted to go to a conference, but I chickened out ;) From the perspective of time, it turned out to be a correct decision as my paper was no good. However, I published another later on, so it is not a problem that I did not actually appear on this conference.

@Primmulla

Well it was a conference for pharmacy students, Polish-only and I was the listener, however it was really worth to take part in it.

@Cam Adair

Thanks for support!

Day 14 - 340 hours

Hell yea, botanics passed with a nice score!

I have only one month left until the end of the semester. It's just 31 days left, so I'm gonna challenge myself to study for 40 hours a week. This will give me 160 hours a month, which is equivalent for full-time job. Obviously I'm not pushing myself to impossible limits like I did before, but I want to avoid situation I had last semester when I was studying for 13 hours a day for 5 days before exam just to pass it.

So, let's see how this will work!

Btw. I'm on 11 days streak on writing morning pages!

Day 15 - 349 hours

When I'm looking at the number of hours I'm not playing I feel proud of myself. However, there is still lot to do!

Morning pages are already written, and yesterday I was studying for 2 hours, so there are only 158 hours left until holidays!

  • Day 16 - 375 hours
  • Day 0 - 0 hours

I'm gonna count 2 different streaks. First is for no gaming, second is for no masturbation.

I failed with it again, but I'm more conscious right now and I'm getting back on track immediately. That's the best I can do in this situation!

June challenges:

1)Study for 160 hours (8 000 minutes) - so far 5/160 (250/8000)

2)Write 50 000 total words and finish 750 every day - so far 774/50 000 day 1/30

3)510 minutes of exercising - equivalent for 17 work outs - so far 0/510

4)15 hours of tutoring - so far 0/15

5)Learn 4 new cooking recipes - to eat more healthy - so far 0/5

What do you think about it?
