How is Mastery so far?

I love it, and I would give it a 5/5. Would  recommend this book for anyone who tries to achieve mastery in something or just has a lack of motivation. The book contains many useful  advices  as well  as good examples of what people like Thomas Edison ,Leonardo da Vinci did to achieve mastery. It turns out that Mastery is made out of  a deep inclination towards a particular subject and lots of practice. Nobody was born talented or as a genius, all you need is a passion and action.

No Youtube is essential.

After I quitted it, I have ton of time to be more productive. You can do this aswell! Just find a substitute (reading is a good one) and implement it into your life!

Also, as an analyst I really like your daily summaries. This makes your journal more readable, especially with colourful font!

Greetings, Mad Pharmacist.

How long have you been playing for, btw?

For about 10 years, although at the start I wasn't a "hardcore gamer" would spend like 2-5 hours a day. But  shit got out of hand when I got my new PC. I wasn't able to control myself anymore.

DAY-17 (After relapse)

A New Hope

My productivity is terribly low  or below zero these past days. I don't know what's wrong with me. Can't force myself to do anything without delaying things. I feel like I'm waisting my time and I can't stop it, one of the worst feelings ever. This loss of momentum makes me feel very discouraged to do anything.

DAY-18 (After relapse)

A New Hope

Another day full of procrastination and doing nothing. Really, I've grown tired of this. It doesn't matter that every single time I give promises to myself, that I'll be productive/consistent. I end up by doing nothing  like I did the day before. I feel like I'm stuck in this never-ending loop of procrastination. Well , at least  cravings aren't that strong/often as they were before.

DAY-19 (After relapse)

A New Hope

A bit more productive today than yesterday, so I feel more happier. I think sometimes I go way to hard on myself , I expected to get rid of  old habits quickly, without realising that building new ones takes time. So I guess I have  to build them step by step, but I have to figure out how to do that  though.... Same goes with my work ethic , it's  terrible.

Finally a day where everything went according to my day schedule, kind of...  Around the evening I went back to procrastinating, but still , for me it's a big achievement! Who knows, maybe today was the day when my friendship with procrastination finally ended :D. And I should thank  @WorkInProgress  for sending me that article about procrastination, it really helped me and completely changed my view of it :).

Day-23 (After relapse)

A New Hope

Another day ended. Not going to talk about procrastination , because this word  became kind of overused in this journal. There is one problem that haunts me every single summer if not  all the time. I just can't get my ass out of the house. Sometimes I hang out with my friends, but rarely. And I think I have social anxiety wich turns my face red  during the simplest situations ( it happens  very often in school). It's almost impossible for me to expand my social circle , because most of my peer group usually  spends the time by partying and doing that type of stuff. But I'm not that type of person, more of a reserved guy who almost never tells  to people how he feels. I ain't very athletic as well.

  • Mood - Good
  • Cravings - 4/10
  • Time spent on gaming videos - 0.00mins
  • Time spent on videos unrelated to gaming - 40mins (Woops!)
  • Total  time spent on Youtube - 40mins (Woops!)

Nice progress from relapse.

I know what you mean about having peers that spends most of their time partying. I don't like going to drinking parties too much myself.

By the way do you recommend the book Mastery by Robert Greene?

Day-24 (After relapse)

I'm running out of options how to start every entry in this journal ( if you have any ideas please write them down below :D ). Failed to start my day strongly  by waking up at 10:00AM instead of 8:00AM. Afterwards I couldn't catch up to my schedule so I ended up by doing nothing a.k.a procrastinating. Around the evening my older brother paid me a visit so it was super cool , since I haven't talked to him in a while. Had some fun by speaking with @Craig and @Bladezz in the chat room. That's all for today ;) .
