Seems legit. ;) How do you feel with that number? Are you a pickup master already as a result of the created drive for conversations with attractive women, or not yet? :D Or perhaps you are married? Or you keep masturbating just without porn?

That's not stupid. I think it's actually a smart idea to focus on one thing at a time. Maybe I could try that too.

Yeah tbh I do need some release otherwise it's extremely difficult to focus on work (if I'm not getting sex), and I have come across a little porn here and there over the last 86 days, but the usage is WAY down from what it was, so it's saving me so much time per day (similar to not gaming).

By the way you might wanna consider changing the name to "Nutrition" streak rather than diet, because, at least in my mind "Diet" stands for avoiding foods or calories, whereas "Nutrition" stands for a well balanced nutrition as a whole. Cheers!

Day 172/180 GameQuitters/StopGaming

Sorry everyone for missing yesterday's check-in.

90 DAYS PORNFREE!!! @Yan I'm at the top! 😁

Feels nice not to constantly be seeking that dopamine when I'm bored, similar to stopping video games. I'm getting much more work done and productive tasks, socialising etc. Sure I've come across it here and there but similar to meditation, you allow the feeling to simply pass. It doesn't have such a strangehold on me anymore. I'll continue with it to 180 days!

Do you keep a food diary/food logs? Do you measure your food somehow? On a weightscale/number of pieces/etc.?

Hi guys,

Not a streak check-in but I'm wanting to try to swap the more unproductive tasks that I'm doing now and swap them out with more productive tasks.

I'm going to take it slow, but one thing I sometimes do is still watch Twitch/Kick etc. streams/highlights when I'm bored, or watch video game videos, read news, etc. It was something I said I'd do in my intro post, but I haven't quite gotten around to it.

So from today I'm going to do my best not to watch any gaming streams, videos, or read any news. I haven't been playing any games for 177 days, but sometimes I do still watch streams, watch videos, etc. when I'm bored.

This new streak will be 'NoVidyaMedia', again not the same as the GameQuitters/StopGaming streak, as that's only for not playing video games, this new one is to basically shut out all gaming media as a whole. Might be difficult at first but it's one of the few things I'd like to completely quit.

There are a few other streaks I'd like to work on, such as:

  • NoStream (This is for streams not related to vidya, typically Kick has a lot of IRL streams, which I'd also like to stop watching as it does take time away from productive tasks)

  • NoSurf (Meaning no random internet surfing)

  • NoYouTube (Productive/motivational videos are allowed, but it has to be mindful, meaning I have to have meant to, and purposefully, watch the video. Not just randomly stumble onto YouTube and go on a binge, even though I should be working/studying/completing productive tasks)

  • NoDiscord - I very rarely go on Discord anymore anyway, but it's something I'd like to completely stop doing.

  • NoTikTok - Again something I very rarely go on to, but sometimes the constant scrolling can keep me locked out of real life for a good 30 minutes or so.

The things I'd like to replace the above with more are:

  • Working out more.

  • Focusing on my diet more.

  • Reading more on my Kindle app.

  • Working.

  • Studying.

  • Socialising.

  • Movies and TV shows in my downtime, rather than the streams, YouTube videos, etc. (Movies and TV shows are much slower burners, they don't give out as much dopamine as video games, not as addictive, etc.)

These streaks I won't implement just yet, I'll take it slow and start with 'NoVidyaMedia' streak, and add them once I feel more comfortable with the current streak I'm on.

Do not touch this crap at all. not an hour, not a minute, not a second. For examle I also have thoughts, even these days regarding games. But I know that when I open anything of the sort the force of the thoughts will be stronger and stronger. So I do lots of efforts to avoid the first contact overall. I have also written an explanation in "reader"s diary on how to block yourself from accessing unwanted websites(ChatGPT query) without downloading programs or Chrome extensions. You might wanna consider viewing that

As I previously stated, it helps me know what I'm getting into my body and tie any symptoms I have with my nutrition in a measurable manner. I also use cronometer.com to make sure I get all Macro and micronutrients, which would not happen if I wouldn't precisely measure what I put into my body. In any case when I have any symptoms I may then, in a scientific manner as you wrote, change one ingredient at a time for a period, and see the effect in isolation. (Or change a few if it's urgent, and if the changes reverse the symptoms I may then change them again one by one to identify which one was really the cause)

Does this make sense?

Regarding your longer message I guess I'd have to write a book to answer it so I don't know if I'm going to get around to it. Although I might. Best wishes!

Yeah it's a tough one to stop the vidya media, the streams I haven't watched in a while, it's just sometimes the YouTube videos.

Thanks I'll take a look at the explanation for how to stop going on the sites that you posted.

Yeah regarding the nutrition, I do have some rules I've set myself I just haven't read it in a while.

But one thing I'm planning to do is finally get back to dating. One thing I can do as more of a passive thing is online dating. It's something that doesn't take a whole lot of time, but with that being said it typically doesn't tend to get a whole lot of success, although some of my friends have met their girlfriends and wives through online dating, so it's worth a shot. Eventually I want to get back to IRL dating again, but we'll keep it slow and steady and not go too overboard to start with.

The best thing about that is it will motivate me to stick to a good diet and workout routine in order to get good pictures and to not show up to any dates looking fat! 😂
