With 90 days StopGaming/GameQuitters, it's kinda like I'm getting that purple item from the big fire raid boss deep underground, but it won't become obsolete in the next major patch, it will have a butterfly effect and drastically improve (and has already improved) other areas of my life until I die of old age (hopefully), of which you can't really argue with!See you tomorrow!5/90 PornFree19/365 NoAlcoholYou're warming up my heart.Cheers to your potential and beyond.P.S. WE CAN DO THIS! I guess the reason I say that is because in some of our minds we think 'If I get level 60 and show off my epic sword, people will like me, respect me, and I'll get a girlfriend!' - Nah man, nah dude, it doesn't work that way. Put that energy and effort into something that actually improves your life for you, no for some money-hungry game dev that just wants to suck up all your time, attention, and energy. So cheers to you for taking challenges on that get you out of your comfort zone and get you to in fact widen your comfort zone and abilities (probably :) )19 minutes ago, Pulse said:no for some money-hungry game dev that just wants to suck up all your time, attention, and energy. January 1Jan 1 Author Day 92/180Happy New Year everyone! I hope we are happy and healthy this year :)Okay my new streak is a sleep pattern streak. From a previous post I made I mentioned I tried to do it but my work discipline was lacking, so for every 15 minutes I go to bed earlier, I need to work 15 minutes so it makes up the time I miss working via going to bed early (if that makes sense 😂)I like to get a better sleeping pattern by going to bed 15 minutes earlier each evening until the pattern is more suitable for my current needs. If I don't go to bed 15 minutes earlier the following evening and get up 9 hours later, I break the streak. Here's to ya, 2026!1/90 SleepStreak12/90 PornFree26/365 NoAlcohol

I'd put a question mark on that assumption.I am doing way more physical activity than the average person (So I assume.) Some days I'm burning more than 5,000 calories according to my fitness watch, yet I think it has been years since I've slept 9 hours or more(Maybe in some very irregular occasions)I think that the fact that your body allows you to sleep more, doesn't necessarily means you "need" to sleep more.In fact, oversleeping is sometimes linked with depression in some articles I've read somewhere in the web.I do believe 7.5-8 hours are optimal - because I know a sleep cycle takes 1.5 hours and we need about 5.That is also the "extreme"(8 hours) that even Ariana Huffington reverted to after her "Losing consciousness and breaking the face because of lack of sleep" crisis, which she described in her book "The Sleep revolution".I guess you tried sleeping less than 9 hours previously. For how long did you go with it? What did you experience as a result?P.S. Again, the fact that you "want" or "feel like sleeping" is not a measuring stick for me to an optimal sleep amount, because if it were, then also working, not playing games or working out would make no sense. But they do. :)There might be something I don't know about you however, or that I don't know in general. Feel free to disagree. Would love to hear your opinion.

So it might be that I kind of yo-yo between how long I sleep every night.I probably am somewhat depressed yes, but I've never been officially diagnosed.20 hours ago, Yan said:I guess you tried sleeping less than 9 hours previously. January 8Jan 8 Author Day 99/180 GameQuitters/StopGamingDay 100 tomorrow! All ticking along smoothly. My sleep streak is coming along well, I'm definitely getting more adjusted to a better sleep pattern. The only thing that will break it is if I get sick, and because it's winter season here, that's going to be quite likely in the next few months. Saturday at 11:07 PM5 days Author Day 101/180 GameQuitters/StopGamingQuick one today as super busy, I did have a thought about SleepStreak: I can't ever see a time now where it will go back to being bad UNLESS a drink alcohol. That's the only time it will go bad. Any other time will just be because I'm out doing something that causes me to be home a bit later so I go to bed a bit later, but big deal as I'll be right back to correcting the sleep pattern the following days anyway, so the streak should be very easy to continue for a long time.10/90 SleepStreak21/90 PornFree35/365 NoAlcohol
Sunday at 04:09 PM4 days So happy to read about your goals. I read not long ago, that to bring the dopamine receptor sensivity to normal level takes up to 6 months. It is expected time for full "normalization" of the receptors. Do you feel less and less cravings for gaming ? My previous record oif not playing was 46 weeks, and I allow myself for acceptence thoughts - that I can control it. That thought lost me as 2,5y later im here again on detox. I will be following your journal to have more strenghts. Take care
