Draxinite Posted Saturday at 05:17 AM Posted Saturday at 05:17 AM Hey Y'all  For almost more than 2 months i've been free of playing video games, yesterday i did play a bit of league, won't count that as a relapse but wanted to see if it hits the same, but it does not, i really do not get the same things it once gave me, moving from that, i've been getting so many cravings to play, some weak and some strong ones. Overall my routine is kinda in a lack coz my mind feels like out of place and is not sure what to do. I think and know its a good time to build solid habits as well as fulfilling hobbies. For the most part i've been trying to figrue what to do coz i become perfectionistic, however, im going to try to dabble with a few single hobbies for a long while even if i feel odd or if the hobby doesnt instantly make me feel better, i will stick to it. The goal here is bring order from the chaos i am in, quite unstructured, unplanned in life right now, i do not like that one bit. I'm going to consolidate gcal as well as tasks and a journal to keep track and work on my current projects which is learn a key skill, apply for jobs and create a structuted routine. 1
Yan Posted Saturday at 07:21 PM Posted Saturday at 07:21 PM Hey Draxinite, congratulations on taking your first step towards self-actualization. Because gaming is not the end goal for 99% of people unless you're an eSports pro or something [I guess] Regarding the wish you expressed to start journaling, I suggest you stick to a format where you have some very simple baseline like "a minimum of one line" or like i do in my journal 90 days without useless videos with 3 things i did well and o1 thing i could do better. It makes it a lot more likely you'll make it a habit in my opinion. Let me know if this makes sense and if it helps 🙂 Cheers and god bless.
qilin387 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago The cravings are natural, especially when routine feels shaky. But your mindset is spot on, now’s the time to build new systems and habits that give you purpose. Sticking with a few hobbies, even if they feel awkward at first, is a smart move. That structure you’re aiming for with gcal, journaling, and task tracking will give your mind something to anchor to. Keep at it, it doesn’t have to be perfect, just consistent
Bishop Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Huge congrats on hitting 68 days—that’s no small feat! It’s really inspiring to see how much progress you’ve made, especially with how you’re channeling your energy into more meaningful things like studying and rebuilding real-world confidence. That shift takes serious effort and honesty. Totally agree with you on how gaming can sometimes mask problems instead of helping solve them. It’s awesome that you’re not just quitting but also actively working on why you gamed in the first place. That’s where real growth happens. Keep going—you’re clearly on a strong path, and posts like yours are super motivating for the rest of us too.
