Starting again,I want to forget about dota 2 completely because it keeps me away from doing anything productive.

Its only dota 2 though, I can play other games and then forget about it but if I open dota 2 then I stop caring about everything else and just play for the rest of the day.

I do not think it is the Dota per se that makes you go overtime, its the need of escape that dota fulfills and allows you to completely let go of the schedule.
It is probable in my opinion that even if you succeed not touching Dota ever, you'll find that shelter in another game.
I'd suggest you go cold turkey on games for 90 days and give yourself the time to find another hobby you could fulfill this need with. This is just a thought though. In any case its a big step, and I have been wrong before, so it is perfectly okay if you start with your original plan and if any difficulties arise later adjust accordingly. So I congratulate you and wish you to keep taking action! How long do you want to go without Dota?

Welcome back to the forum! I agree with Yan. There's plenty of games that scratch the same itches that DOTA does. I remember when I quit Super Smash Bros and I ended up falling in the same trap with Rocket League. Lots of online competitive games that end up being massive time sinks and destroy your focus. So that's the main thing to watch for during your detox - something else taking the place of dota.
