13th April:

- bored at work today - only few customers visited our store

- 3 hours today

- made notes of what I've learned so far about drawing the features of the head

- getting ready to practice the whole head (loomis method)

- one more day of figuary to go!

I will finish my first figuary challenge by 25.04.2022 (27/28)

14th April:

- Finished figuary challenge!

- Drawing simplified heads using loomis method. I'm going to draw 100 of them while using reference. 

- Drew 30 simple head today.

- Can't wait for tommorow! My brother and his wife visit us to play boardgames!

15th April:

- practiced loomis heads for one hour

- the boardgame session was great - we were playing spirit island this time (love this game!)

- nothing else to say just keepin the habit of writing here

16th and 17th April:

- practiced drawing simplified heads for another 2 hours in total this weekend

- played a bit solo spirit island (board game)

- finally resting from work

- spending a lot of time with my fiancee

18th April:

- woke up earlier to draw because we are going to visit my fiancee's parents

- practiced for 2.5 hours today

- I'm learning how to adapt loomis method to different people

- the results are not bad but it will take some more practice

Thanks! I'm doing my best to figure out mistakes myself but it ain't always easy

21th April:

- another 4 hours of heads (drew 6 heads, I have now 9 in total)

- spent a lot of time on head number 7 and 8 to figure out whats wrong

- pleased how the number 9 turned out - I was drawing eyes too high all the time + bad proportions

- finished watching the asaro head playlist to get the idea how I'm going to structure my learning process

- bought Marco Bucci's course "Understanding and Painting the Head"

- have started the course today 

- new goal set to finish chapter 1 of the course

- continuing the course about the planes of the head

- I think I need to slow down a little for now and do more practical exercises to let the knowledge sink in

- pretty sure this course will help me a ton with drawing faces

- since the videos are long I feel like I draw less during my session and feel less productive

- the progress is slow but steady

29th April:

- finished chapter 1 of the course (the only one I need for now - there are 2 chapters)

- going to face the 50 asaro heads challenge

- drew the first one and it went horribly wrong

- I felt very anxious just before the first asaro head drawing but feeling good now

- going to take a break on the weekend - need to recharge

9th May:

- feel rested after the weekend

- I was watching helpful videos about drawing portraits and breaking up the heads today

- after that I decided to sketch and draw a full asaro head as fast as I could - it took me around 40 minutes

- at the end of my learning session I was studying different head angles by drawing over photos in photoshop

Goals:

- started to draw more extreme angles of the asaro head

- decided that I want to draw 20 in total. I have a feeling that I don't need to draw 50 of them.

- can't wait to start breaking up and drawing real heads

- going to rest on weekend

- also I won't be drawing on Monday because it is my fiancee birthday and we are going to spend the whole day together
