  1. Reading your last post makes me want to buy some puzzles. I have love/hate relationship with them, I love to problem solve but I am incredibly impatient and get distracted easily. I think that this is one of the issues of today, as the technology progresses our brains are so overstimulated that it can be hard to focus and do activities which cannot reach this level of stimulation. Keep up the good work!

  3. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I would still recommend giving it another chance when it is structured properly it is a great way to let of steam. Unfortunately, I know that nowadays it not really possible but when you get a chance, some gyms have punching bags that you can fight on your own and that might even work better for you. Just use up your energy against that I am confident that you would enjoy it.   4. @BooksandTrees I can relate with a lot of points that you have made especially about habits that you want to work on. I would say that I am a pretty relaxed person most of the time but playing video games always caused me a lot of stress, frustration, and aggression. I am very competitive and want to be the best in whatever I do but that is not always possible which leads to frustration. Besides working out I would recommend you trying martial arts.   5. Welcome to the forums. Do not beat yourself up for relapsing, it is great that you have recognized what were the main forces that pulled you back into gaming. The best way to think about it is that if you were able to stop gaming for some time you can do it again and even for longer this time. I have stopped a few times as well and then relapsed too ... now I have not played in over a month and I hope to keep it that way for a lot longer.   6. It is a thought decision, you can always keep it as a hobby until an opportunity comes along that allows you to make drawing your main job. I always liked the saying: "Find a job you enjoy and you will never have to work another day in your life."
  7. These times do not make it any easier to quit gaming but I do believe that if you can avoid them now it will be a lot easier once the lockdown is over. If you can stop any screen time for 30-60 min before you go to sleep the overall quality of sleep will be ridiculously better, last few days I binge-watched the office often late till I passed out while it was still playing in the background and I was drowsy for the whole next day.
  8. That is an amazing drawing. I always admire when people can draw because I am so bad at it haha. I have found that having quite a strict schedule works for me and I do need to get into flow when I want to work on something otherwise I tend to waste time and sometimes it feels like I am wasting it just for the sake of wasting it.
  9. I think it is the best time to do it. I have stopped the games just several days ago and seeing that everything is closing and hearing from friends to play because they do not have other stuff to do is extremely tempting but I feel like if you can push through this times and find other habits to fill your time during this pandemic. I am sure that when things go back to normal you will have easy time not playing games and focusing on real life. Quite frankly it will be an easy mode with all your new good habits.
  10. Hi, I feel you man. I have been addicted to that game for almost 9 years now, I have started close to the game beginnings and wasted way too much time and money on it. I have started the Re-spawn program two weeks ago and have not played since and it feels amazing. I believe that the game is just well designed to hijack our dopamine system that it is just so easy to spent hours and hours climbing the ranks which if you think about is a complete waste of time.
