  2. So I will be using a smartphone only for email, podcasts, & guided meditations that is all I just deleted music from phone, gotta make my own! Maybe will tinker more with trumpet & guitar.
  3. 11th day of the 4th month Enough only counting my sobriety from video games already I have a new detox to start! I have made a decision to go without digital technology for 90 days which means no internet, no computer, no television, no smart phone except to check email for job interviews, no radio, no music at all even unless I am creating it .. .. and I will begin this week - yikes! I will be spending the day getting ready to begin by applying for a lot of jobs and will print a lot of resumes. Just the motivation I needed to get the ball rolling here, this is going to be fun!

I got slightly into speedrunning & setting unique challenges myself just to make the old games feel fun and challenging again. Really glad I woke up to the fact it was all doing me a disservice anyhow so happy none of that needs to be on my mind anymore. Good decision going for the detox best of luck.   7. Penne Spaghetti Pasta upgrade! Penne & Spaghetti noodles in saucepan covered & cooked about 10 mins. Added broccoli, onion, & mushrooms around 6 minutes in then as get rid of most remaining water by boiling open on medium or strain - then added garlic & onion powder along with a chunk of tomato paste. This was an awesome change-up to my routine foods❗

  9. First off this is something new to you that you don't understand because you fear it. I suggest scheduling an appointment with a therapist to hash it out a bit. Sounds like addiction withdrawal to me. Back when I was quitting alcohol having people to chat to that related really helped I would just drink myself into a drunken stupor otherwise. Maybe the StopGaming discord chat would be a good place to stop by next time you feel an anxiety attack coming on. Best of luck. @Sarma

  14. Starting to get this idea to make a dedicated food blog but right now for the fun of sharing what I am now able to invest my time into doing .. you are welcome! Today was my first time getting out the pastas in a while so will continue to build off of this. This was super tasty but was a little dry even though I re-hydrated the dish and the gluten from the barley I suppose made everything want to clump together so I am thinking next time I will replace the barley with something else like more vegetables. Cooked cauliflower and Tabasco would touch it up really nice I think! Ingredients used was whole grain penne / spaghetti / barley, diced onion, sliced mushroom, tomato paste, ground onion & garlic, salt, hemp hearts.
  15. An oatmeal recipe that struck me last night like a bolt of lightning! Today I took my time to craft one amazing lunch - never thought I would be putting hot sauce in a bowl of oats but my god it was delicious The ingredients sitting before you is rolled oats, crushed cauliflower, walnuts, onion, & mushrooms seasoned with garlic powder, ground turmeric, black pepper, nutritional yeast, hemp hearts, mustard, salt, & minced greens topped with black pepper, Tabasco and a pinch of salt. Starchy feast for the brain Speaking of which something is telling me that diced & cooked russet potatoes would accompany this creation very well! .. I call this Savory Old Fashioned Stove-Top Oats

  23. @James Good For the Schedule if it is just you I say limit to every week or two weeks it still does us good to unplug! If there are more who would share & rotate the responsibility then more often would probably work out. Regardless how you feel about that I say start at weekly or bi-weekly and decide how you feel about it from there. For the Content all of the above works. Like things related to game addiction, sobriety from addiction, stage two recovery, updates on politics, forum question topics, etc. For the Format it would probably work best to mix it up. Having guests give and take in a conversation should go a lot easier than the solo format but a guest may not always be possible so this is why I think a mix is best. Vegan Ultra-marathon runner Rich Roll podcasts with a lot of guests that might feed you ideas on how best to lead a broadcast. For the Length of Time any length is great so you aren't limiting yourself to do less or forcing yourself to beat a dead horse. Though again you have a life to live also so no shame in setting your own limits, best of luck❗ Neil
  24. My Gratitude I am grateful for https://forum.gamequitters.com/ being such a fine platform to maintain my sobriety from video games. Simply seeing that a StopGaming reddit page existed made me to investigate further as I was already inspired to abstain from pornography from Nofap. Same vain of great progress. I supect had I not found these places my life would be well down the sh*tter right now. Words cannot explain how grateful I am for these places! #donate I am grateful for the https://acoa.activeboard.com 12 step forums that continue to be a service to my Stage Two recovery work from growing up in a abusive dysfunctional family, now that I have pushed away my addictions I am able to prioritize Stage Two recovery - I am very thankful for this. Grateful for the birds that follow & whistle back and forth with me as I run & cycle down my dead-end road, that motivates me to put my feet on the pavement every time :) I am grateful for all the freedom of time my sobriety has given me. The difference is night & day when you find worthy goals to accomplish.
